They are a RIPOFF with their prices on medication.
Charged my wife $157 for Milbeguard Heart Worm prevention. 1-800-Petmeds sells it for $73. I tried to return it within an hour of buying it. They said I could not. I asked them to discount it, they said no. So more than double the price for a non prescription medication.
I will be finding a new Vet.

This is the worst vet experience I have ever had. I brought my dog in for a teeth cleaning and asked that they trim his nails as well. They nickel and dime you for everything and charge almost $100 to take out a tooth that would’ve fallen out anyways. The nail trim is the worst he’s ever received, he scratched me as soon as they brought him to me because his nails were still rough. I am new to the area and this was the closest office I could bring my dog to, but I will never bring him here again.

I will never in my life take my Husky here or any other animal of mine. He had an allergic reaction to the local fauna and all of a sudden he has cataracts!? No. When we took our husky to his normal vet, he was TERRIFIED. He is never terrified of our vet. Normally would be actively happy. I saw a vet tech pick him up by his middle, right here his rib cage ends and his stomach begins AND THEN use their other arm with him. Absolutely unacceptable. He is larger sized for a husky at 70 lbs and could have harmed him. I do not know what happened behind closed doors because I was not allowed to go in

Horrible experience. Told me it would be $47.50 for a bath and ear trim...the usual. Absolutely lied... I got there and they said he HAD to get the flu shot..which is a lie. Then proceeded to charge me for an exam and all. Ended up being $148.00. The ear trim apparently was NOT included. Crooks. Then didnt tell me the flu shot needed a booster in 3… weeks that would be another $42.00. Wth. They should be ashamed of themselves for their straight up lies. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Taking advantage of people WILL bite you in the butt eventually.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Adelman for over 25 years. He has always been so kind and approachable as well as knowledgeable. His staff is always great too!
He saved one of my dogs too. Bad spleen. Gave her almost four more good years! She would have been dead if he hadn’t suspected it. He helped me recently with my newest family member. I’ll be… moving next year and trying to establish a relationship with a vet where I’m moving. It hasn’t gone so well, as Milo is not a good patient. I called him and he took care of him- no issues. I wish they could move with me! I

I worked for Dr. Adelman years ago and when I found myself back in the area, I thought of no one else I'd rather have take care of my dogs and cat. Not only is he and his staff incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate, Dr. A will always take the time to explain everything to you. This is a practice that truly cares for animals and their owners.

Dr. Adelman saved my dog’s life!! She was having crazy symptoms that were ignored by her former vets. When we took her to Layhill Animal Hospital, Dr. Adelman gave her a thorough exam and immediately treated her. In one week, she came back 110%. We also received various phone calls throughout the week from the staff and Dr.Adelman checking up on… our dog, Mel. You can tell that they truly cared and have a passion for saving animals. Thank you Dr. Adelman and the staff at Layhill Animal Hospital, we don’t know what we would have done without you all! The facilities are very clean

We've taken our pets to Dr. Adelman at Layhill Animal Hospital for 25+ years. We're pleased with the friendliness, knowledge, compassion and efficiency of the staff; the ease of making an appointment and the reminder calls; the care and attention provided to our pets; the thoroughness of diagnostic tests and recommendations for treatment, if required; answers to our questions, etc. We would recommend this veterinary hospital in a heart beat.
