Honestly the only downside to Arlene’s is the parking situation. Other than that I had a wonderful experience! Debbie the owner is genuine and no BS, which when it comes to bridal shops can be hard to find. I went to 15 appointments, but finally found the perfect Essence of Australia Dress at Arlene’s. My mom scheduled an appointment with the shop. When we arrived no one was at the front desk to check us in and, even though we could see employees in the dresses half of the shop, and in the tuxes & videographer half of the shop, we were un-greeted by anyone. Eventually we walked ourselves in, and were told in passing by an employee to browse. The same employee eventually returned to tell my mom she was looking in the wrong section (bridesmaids, instead of mother of the bride), and suggested that *I* look in the bridesmaids section. I cannot tell you how many times or years I have been to Arlene's for dresses. Never disappointed. This time was extra special being it was for my daughter's upcoming Wedding. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

I did not purchase my dress at Arlene's, however they did do the alterations on my dress. I have to say that the seamstresses at Arlene's are extremely talented and knowledgeable. I had 3 appointments leading up to my wedding, and I was very impressed on how they managed to make my at first ill-fitting dress into fitting like a glove. I had some dress regret because I bought my dress pre-pandemic and a lot of time had passed in between my purchasing the dress to my first fitting. They made me fall in love with my dress again. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, highly recommend.

Probably one of the best bridal boutique in the NJ area. Super friendly staff.Debbie the owner,Julie and Gessie -who do first class alteration there is very talented!They are all very helpful and professional.It was truly a pleasure.My sister the bride ,her brides, my mom and I had wonderful time shopping here.There are unique selections with great atmosphere, 100% would recommend.

This bridal shop was amazing from the start! I was originally a July 2020 bride and went back in August of 2019 to try on dresses. My consultant was awesome and let me try on whatever I wanted, even encouraging me to try all styles in case a style I may have been against fit me the best. She was even okay with my mom pulling dresses on her own. She helped me find my forever dress and was awesome about letting me take pictures!

Shady business. Buyer beware, with the COVID -related restrictions we had to postpone our wedding and they didn't want to work with us, they just sent out a letter saying since we didn't pay the balance by the original wedding date, we forfeited the dress.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. I was looking for a simple yet beautiful dress to get married in. As soon as I called to schedule an appointment I was immediately turned off. The woman on the phone was a bit of a snob. I greeted her and she brushed me off. Then I told her the date I'm getting married and that I wanted something simple. " we don't carry white or ivory In store, all we have is any other bridesmaid colors." Ohhh kkk, So there's no way to see catalogue with what you can possibly order? I guess her store doesn't need any business.

I am in a bridal party for one of my childhood friends and the customer service has made ever step of this joyous process horrendous.

Let's start with ordering the dress. I do not live local and had to give my measurements. First of, they only accepted these measurements via fax. I have no clue who stilll owns a fax machine. After sending in my measurement, they called too review. This I thought would be a confirmation phone call, I was wrong. They called and immediately insulted my measurements. Super helpful and always delightful. They have a cute boutique with a smaller but unique selection. Some bridal stores you go into can be overwhelming with the amount of dresses & selection. But Arlene's has a phenomenal staff that knows their products, and makes the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable.
The dress I chose originally was strapless and the seamstress made beautiful custom straps from the scraps of my dress from when it was hemmed...came out absolutely gorgeous!

These ladies are amazing to work with. 5 of my bridesmaids purchased their dresses from Arlenes and when we last minute (about a month out) needed to order a replacement dress, they stepped up and helped us out and made it happen! I’m so happy to have found them and can’t wait to give them my future business. Debbie and Jewel really care about their business and love what they do, which was so evident every time I was in there. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us!!!

First of all id like to say that ive read some of the bad reviews from this place and they are ridiculous. Theres no reason to buy a wedding dress 2 years prior to the wedding, that is just utter nonsense. First of all, styles change every season/year. Secondly, your weight can undergo a drastic change in much less than 1 year. What if your dress becomes too small? Then what? I love Arlene's! As a bride, they made me feel very special every encounter I had with them. Deb, Jewel, and the seamstress were lovely to work with! It is a small family owned establishment so it is a very intimate experience where they know who you are when you call - they don't have to look you up by a wedding dress number which is exactly what I wanted. My 12 (yes 12 lol) bridesmaids got there dresses there as well with 10% discount off bc I purchased my dress there which was nice for them. Back in June, I had called to arrange an appointment for my wedding dress and the lady asked me when I was getting married and I said February 2021, to which she replied, " ooh it's so early you going to change your mind or get confused." This was even before I walked in the door. I was appalled by her response that I said never mind and she hung up on me. Never in my life have I experienced such terrible customer service. I can't say enough about Arlene's. From the first email to schedule an appointment to the day I walked out of there with my dream dress, Debbie and the rest of the staff were amazing. I went in with a vision, and Debbie herself found my dress on the 3rd try. Everyone was so friendly and treated you like family. My bridal party purchased their dresses from Arlene's as well and they were perfect. If I ever need another dress, I know I will be going back here.

Thank you for making me feel truly amazing on my special day! I loved everything about my dress from start to finish (it was love at first sight and the only dress I tried on!) It was the perfect dress for me (the pockets were definitely a game changer!) and you all made me feel so welcome, taken cared of and simply beautiful. I had the best experience at Arlene's. I told Debbie the kind of dress I was looking for. She said she knew what I wanted. It was the first and only one I tried on at Arlene's and fell in love with it. It was smooth sailing from that point on. I would recommend this salon to any bride. They made me feel like I have known them forever. Debbie even shed a tear when I came to pick up my dress and veil. It was sad knowing I wouldn't see her again. Deb and her entire staff treat you as family from the moment you walk inside. Their selection of gowns is impeccable and vast and they are constantly receiving the newest up and coming gowns and accessories.

I am so happy I purchased my wedding dress at Arlene's. From the beginning of my dress search to the final fittings, Debbie and her staff were absolutely amazing. I was recommended this shop by my friend for her wedding. The dress price was $151. Then when I came to pick up my dress today, they said it was $168. I was like, why is it $168? They said well, the price is $168. I continued to ask why. Also, they whited out the original discounted price they gave me. They told me that the reason I didn't continue to honor the price they originally gave me was because the bride did not buy the dress from their shop and we were only 3 bridesmaids. I literally don't even know how to express how much of a waste going here was. I wouldn't consider it a bridal boutique at all. I'd call it a shop that has really ugly prom/mayyyybe bridesmaids dresses that also happen to have bridal dresses from the year 2000 to 1983.

Arlene herself was there and although it's nice they do alterations and custom work- she couldn't have been less interested in helping me. Because one of my bridesmaids made a two hour trip in the snow, and another an hour trip in the snow- I tried to make the best of the situation and tried three dresses
