Absolutely the best salon. Christian is amazing. gave me a great haircut and color. I am older with a touch.of gray, he listened to my concerns, gave me his opinion, which I took! This salon is beautiful inside altho it is in a strip mall that is older. Will definitely be back. You will be in good hands here at a reasonable price.

I have been going to MJ salon for years... I don’t write reviews but exceptional people and service deserve a shout out. I’ll keep it simple. Jayme and Christian are just amazing people. I always enjoy their company, have a blast while there, and most importantly always get exactly what I want. It is simple there is no one better! These are facts!! Amazing service. There are so many reasons why I loved my visit today.
-My appointment was at 2. It started at 2. She had everything done (dye, wash, blow dry, flat iron, and trim) in only 2 hours.
-I have really thick, coarse, and curly hair. Jayme made sure while she was applying the dye and sectioning it that she wasn't tugging or hurting me.
-The shop is welcoming and so are the staff
-Shampoo chair has an ottoman.
-Jayme gave me excellent tips to maintain the flat iron job that she did and I felt so comfortable with any suggestions she made during the appointment in regards to color

This is no reflection of the hair salon portion but rather the nail salon portion. This was the worst place I've been. First of all they offered a Groupon however only have one nail tech... my friend and I bought one hoping to go together, and while we did it was going to be one at a time. I sat down for a pedi first. The nail tech didn't even sanitize the tools... she rinsed them in the sink. I should have gotten up then but I had assumed she was rinsing that blue stuff off, no come to find out my friend saw and when she sat down told me. The nail tech also wiped the tools on her pants

I must say this Salon is hands down the best I have ever experienced. Christian went out of his way to fit me in in between clients and make me feel like Royalty when I was having a bad day. The atmosphere is clean, fun, and positive vibes all the way. I will never go anywhere else! Christian Adrian Monge is my forever stylist and MJ hair salon is my new beauty haven!

I can not really give a review on the experience since they will not let me make an appointment using my groupon. The lady who answer my call was very rude and the second person that answer the call did not sound awake (at 1PM on weekday) and told me to cancel my groupon and pay full price if I want to come in on Friday. I looked at my voucher and there was no fine print restricting the days that I can use the coupon.

Today, I had my hair cut by Meghan J. She did such a fabulous job, I couldn't be happier with my hair, she has no idea how great she made me feel with a good hair cut! I would say it's the best haircut I've ever had! I hate to say, I always expect the worst, I have super thick, curly hair, I've had a ton of bad haircuts but, I left with AMAZING hair! I highly recommend, Meghan J! Also, all of the staff seemed super friendly and welcoming!

I found this place through Groupon... Sherry is the only nail technician here...but boy is she not only super sweet and super friendly, but she does amazing nails! I LOVE how meticulous she is!! That is how it should be anyways! It is so hard to find a great nail technician anywhere you go! However, I am from Las Vegas and almost every single place there does great nails, because it is the West Coast...and that's just how it is. So finding this spot and finding Sherry, I just got really lucky! I will definitely be recommending everyone that I come across to go see her... she is a hidden gem

I found this little salon on Yelp. I had just moved to Manassas, and after years of coloring my hair myself, it was a dried out, brassy, calico mess. I called and asked for Monica. She was great and got me in the next day. I've been going to her for months now, and my hair is a beautiful, beige blonde, and so healthy it's incredible. She worked with me on the price because I see her so often(I hate roots), and she only recommended one product(she's not pushy), which worked beautifully. She also keeps a record of your cut and color and goals so there's no guess work next time

My stylist, Monica is incredible. She listens to my wants, but also is smart enough to tell me her thoughts on what would be best for my hair. I have followed her for years and you know what its true your hair stylist becomes one of your closest and dearest friends.

Being a lifetime resident of Northern Virginia I have tried various hair salons and barbers over the years. Being a guy, I have typically have gravitated towards barber shops, but have also tried many salons as well. Recently a friend of mine suggested that I give MJ Salon and Color Group a try. After many years of trying to find a salon who understood what I wanted, I have finally found one I can call "home"! I am a layed back person and I match up perfectly with my stylist, Jayme. Jayme has been my stylist for over 10 years. I love coming to see her at MJ Salon, even though I live 30 miles away. The staff is always friendly and professional. I have been going to one of the owners of MJ salon since she was doing hair out of her own house. I love the new salon and the friendly atmosphere. I feel like I can relax and after going to Jayme once she always knows what colors to mix and how to do my hair without telling her each time. It is nice to not worry about someone messing up your color, it is perfect every time! Fun group of people who make you feel at home and you come out looking wonderful!
