Talon Compounding Pharmacy was established in 2002 by Wilson Shepard with the mission to provide quality, custom medications at affordable prices. Mr. Shepard assembled a small team of qualified and dedicated employees to help him achieve his goal. In the many years since, Talon Compounding Pharmacy has grown substantially, increasing the number of team members and opening another location in Boerne in 2014.
Hydroxyprogesterone caproate reduces the risk of preterm birth in women who have a history of spontaneous preterm birth. It is an intramuscular injection administered once weekly generally from 1 weeks to 37 weeks of pregnancy. The hydroxyprogesterone caproate compounded in our sterile facility is formulated in a unique thin oil that eliminates the need for needle switching and makes injection more comfortable.
Erectile dysfunction, or ED, is a widely prevalent condition, especially among older men. Although many patients are successfully treated using manufactured products, these do not work for some patients, and additionally, are sometimes prohibitively expensive. Talon Compounding Pharmacy makes several unique products that can be used to treat erectile dysfunction, even in patients that have failed other treatment regimens.

They are crooks. A recall was issued for their product and anyone who paid for it was instructed to throw it away. I asked for them to replace it and was told my request would be put in a pile with all the others. They have since ignored my repeated communications asking for a refund or a replacement. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CRIMINALS.

This pharmacy is HORRIBLE!! They made my medicine in a compromised facility and then did a recall and refuse to refund me the$100’s of dollars it cost me that I had to throw it all away They also refused replace the medicine that was to be injected that WASN’T safe!!! I gave them so many chances to do anything at all yo make it right and they could have cared less… I own a business and I know how important customer service is and for that reason I want to help anyone else avoid the horrible treatment they gave me. Absolutely DO NOT use them is your value your health and safety as well as

I have limited experience with Talon, only a quick phone call, but give them a five-star review for their customer service! I needed a very unique prescription filled, but with limited time before a holiday weekend. When I talked with the pharmacist at Talon and explained what/when/why I needed, she went to great lengths to find out exactly how quickly they could compound my prescription for me. I have used Talon for several years for the same compounded Rx and not had any problems. I had the Rx filled a couple of months ago, the first time since the pharmacy changed ownership and had a new pharmacist running it. My physician specifically wrote on the new Rx that a it was not to have a specific ingredient used in it, as I have had a reaction to it in the past. When I used the newly filled compound, I knew immediately that the compounder had used that ingredient. I called and spoke to the pharmacist/owner who became very defensive and said that he had supervised the making of my medication

The pharmacist does not stand behind his compounds. I have used a compound for 20 years prescribed by my physicians with excellent results. However, the compound made by Talon was ineffective. The pharmacist argued that the MDs are wrong about the effect of the compound, regardless of their research & medical practice.
The color of Talon's compound is significantly lighter than the standard compound I have used for 20 years. After finding it ineffective, I assumed Talon made a mistake in mixing it, but didn't contact them as I had already flown back home. However, I told my relative about Talon

UPDATE: I had a wonderful conversation with the owner and after some re-consideration I will try them again. I have always had very pleasant and professional interactions with the front desk staff, the other pharmacists and managers. I was very impressed to be contacted and will definitely re-consider my next compound at Talon. Horrible customer service. I’ve been utilizing them for over a year now and they consistently mess things up and take their time filling prescriptions I need. They’re always late with my prescriptions, they never respond to voicemails and I assume they ignore their fax machine. When I first ordered from them my order got lost in the mail and they still insisted I pay for another one. They tell me they’ll call me when something is filled or shipped, but they never do, and the people who pick up the phones there are rude and snobbish. Horrible, hot mess compound pharmacy.

I had read good things about Talon Compounding Pharmacy but I want to say that my experience was even better. I need a prescription that must stay refrigerated and quick delivery is essential to ensure it's effectiveness.
Their customer service has been exceptional. It was easy for me to see that my health and experience is a priority in their business plan. Very happy customer here!
