Mednikow is the place to go to in Memphis if you’re looking for excellent service and beautiful jewels! I picked out my gorgeous 3 stone sapphire engagement ring from here. I looked at 4 different stores but Mednikow stayed at #1 with their selection! The team there just has an eye for these precious stones. I’m in love and I can’t stop looking at my hand now. Lol. Mednikow Jewelry and Heather Grisanti are the best. The store has an excellent selection that can be found no where else in the Mid South. Heather is charming and knowledgeable about all the brands sold in the store. She always remembers everyone’s name and has excellent recommendations for gifts. While Mednikow was closed pursuant to City orders , she helped me select the perfect gift on the store’s website and arranged for me to pick it up while still remaining in compliance with Code Enforcement.

I had an unpleasant occurrence here that I need to get off my chest. I had been coming here for about a decade for jewelry repairs for my high end jewelry, so I was a regular known customer. At one point I brought in a special burma ruby & chunky-diamond platinum ring which was an antique heirloom purchased from an estate sale in the upper Northeast. As an older ring, it was made a long time ago when jewelry makers didn't have to skimp on gold and platinum, like they do nowadays due to metals being more scarce. So the platinum band was one solid sturdy equal width entirely around the whole

If I could give Mednikow zero stars I would. Dropped off a ring to be resized. After measuring my finger, they told me I needed to go down 1/4 size for fit. Big mistake, but one that could be corrected.
The mistake that couldn't be corrected was polishing my ring (without my permission) and completely ruining the vintage finish (it was roughed out by a custom jewelry maker).
The ring is now completely unwearable and cannot be replaced.

Awful experience. A true shark tank feeling. Moreover, unprofessional and sloppy. They did not return emails, were unclear and untransparent on the phone when asked about a ring to be custom made (a several-thousand dollar project), transferring me from one person to the next, and they were then overly servile in person in the store. ln the email conversation they informally replied without salutation line or closing line, abruptly short and just alltogether unwelcoming and unfriendly. Not what one expects from A) the jewelry business and B) a big name like Mednikow.

Came in looking for a specific piece of jewelry that I knew they carried. Upon arriving we were told the ring was available but they didn't have any with an actual stone set in it to show and if we decided to purchase the ring would have to be sent out to have a stone placed in it - that is until my now ex and I presented cash, which all of a sudden many, many, MANY pieces already set were brought out in all shapes, sizes, colors and cut...me thinks our being black had a lot to do with this but, in the end we were looking for this specific piece and this was the only place in Memphis that

I have a lovely David Yurman pave diamond ring that needed to have a diamond replaced. I didn't buy the ring there but I was told they are the only place in Memphis that sells David Yurman. I don't know if that is true, but I figured it was my best bet on having it fixed. (They asked me if I bought it from them, which I didn't, and I don't know how the turnout would have been different if I had.)
Anyways, they fixed my ring for me for $39...a little pricey I think, for one teensy tinsy diamond...especially since I bought the ring for $600...but they were very nice and did

First off I wanted an engagement ring by Maevona. They are the only place in the area to carry them.
I was up from with the saleslady and told her my budget for a diamond was about 20000. I told her the range of the weight of the diamond that I wanted and the clarity/cut range. For some reason she wanted to sell me something of lower quality than what I wanted. I decided to buy a diamond somewhere else and buy the setting from them. She actually acted a bit angry with me. Luckily for me she was not there when I picked up my ring but everyone else in the store was extremely helpful and professional

Incredibly beautiful selection of fine jewelry. Men or women who like buying yourself jewelry -- you must check this place out, although, beware -- it's finer jewelry and it comes with the price tag to match.
They carry gorgeous Patek Phillipe and Mednikow watches, as well as an incredible selection of gemstone jewelry. Basically, a lot of the sparkly beauties that you see on stars.
