We live in a diverse society where no two people are the same. We each have our own ideas and personality and our needs are all different. Providing meaningful services for a loved one is much the same. The loss of someone we love is one of the most difficult and emotional experiences we will ever encounter.

We take pride in being able to offer services as unique and personal as each individual. With a staff with over a hundred years of experience and a boundless variety of options we can help you arrange a service as unique as the person whose life we are celebrating. We are family owned and operated and whether it is services with traditional burial or cremation, you will be treated with the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.
Services
Bearden Funeral Home serves Dawson County and the surrounding areas. The funeral home was established in 1965 and was purchased by Ted Bearden in 1991. Since that time we have completely remodeled the facility adding a chapel that will seat over 300 with state of the art audio and video systems, a large family center, common area, a conference room, additional parking and on-site crematory.
We know there are other funeral homes in the area to choose from. But we also know that families who turn to us during a time of loss, or for pre-arrangement services experience our very high standards of service. Providing comfortable, soothing surroundings where families and friends can gather to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one.
Although our chapel is not intended to compete against the reverence and respect of the church, it has been tastefully designed as an option for those who do not wish a formal church setting. Conveniently located within the funeral home, it provides a dignified setting for family, friends and the community to gather together and pay tribute to the deceased.
When it comes time to care for a deceased loved one, you may feel overwhelmed and confused about the next steps and options. Our funeral home staff members are here and ready to help. Whether you'd like a funeral or a more creative celebration of life, we can assist you to select the funeral service options that hold the most meaning for you and your family.
Obituaries act as quiet reminders of the finite nature of our lives. Yet, for those who have recently experienced the death of a family member or friend, an obituary means so much more. It is a bittersweet reminder of all we've lost, but it can also help us to remember all we enjoyed while they were alive.
