Services
When Ricky Barrett graduated from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service, he came home to the people he loved of White County. It had been his desire to open a funeral home in the Cleveland area. With the help of his father, Clarence E. Barrett Sr., his dream became true and in May of 1976, Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland was opened.

Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one, have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

Brian Alexander and his team (especially Whitney) are the kindest, most considerate people that I have ever met. 2021 has been the worst year of my life after losing my dad and my son.. Barrett made this sooo much easier to go through. I will continue to use them forever. There is nowhere else that you should go.

I never got a return call from a voicemail I left a few months ago wanting to obtain information. I also notice that there aren't many recent reviews and the positive reviews seem to be several years ago.

Such nice and professional people. Brian and Brandon were amazing with our arrangements for our grandmother. They deeply care for their jobs and it shows. Such compassion and love for other people's loved ones. We can't thank them enough with all their help thru this very difficult time.

I came up from St.Augustine,fl Saturday to say good bye to my best friend and brother in arms Ralph Medlock.. I noticed the announcement booklet Barrett's handed out had a very obvious flaw in Ralph's picture.I find this absolutely appalling under the circumstances, and just had the overall feeling this was just another job to get finished. The building itself looked unkempt and just drab, and the final insult was when I asked to have a DVD of the pictures, it took them about 5 minutes to burn one on their computer. They put the same flawed picture on a cheap little DVD box and asked for 20.00 dollars

Barrett Funeral Home was wonderful to my family in our time of need. We have used Ricky Barrett when our mother died six years ago and more recently when my brother Ralph died. We have known Ricky Barrett for many years and my father and my brother ate supper with him regularly. The staff was delightful, the facilities were clean, and the staff was very caring with my elderly father while burying his only son and my baby brother. Thank you Mr. Barrett and your staff for a job well done.
