Alta Mesa Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Independently owned and operated cemetery since 1904, we are now dedicated to providing quality, professional and affordable funeral services since 2010. We offer both burial and cremation options with religious or secular services. Our staff has built lasting relationships in the community because we are able to offer the personal attention, compassion and understanding you and your family deserve.

We understand that each family we serve is unique and our goal is to offer the most meaningful tribute to the life of your loved one. Having the funeral home, crematory and memorial park at one location makes arranging and services a profound convenience for everyone. We encourage families to consider making pre arrangements for their own funerals in order to help their loved ones with the many difficult decision at the time of loss.
Services
We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity. Born and raised in San Francisco, my family moved down to the peninsula and I attended high school in Burlingame.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

Alta Mesa offered our family peace of mind and gently walked us through everything for my mother in February and my father in December

Nice place. There are usually a lot of visitors, and I often see groups of people hanging out with camping chairs and music, remembering their beloveds together. It's sweet, and I visit often. I noticed recently that they do close the gate promptly at 6pm, but they won't shoo you out if you get in before the gate closes. There is a sensor that opens the gate to let you out after closing time.

The funeral grounds looked very clean. Nice that many of the plastic flowers still remain, used to be that they'd be pulled out almost every weekend. They had the US flag lining the driveway entrance which was a nice tribute to the veterans who gave their life
