At Colonial Chapel Funeral Directors, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.

We have a wide range of resources to support you not only today, but in the weeks and months to come. We can create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one.
Services
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
At Colonial Chapel, we feel it is an honor to serve you, your family, and our community. Our funeral professionals are committed to earning your trust. With decades of combined experience, we can help you create a lasting tribute to your loved one that truly reflects his or her unique life and fulfills your family's needs and traditions.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

We had an issue with my late grandmother's urn that a different company caused. Paul and his employee Jimmy fixed the issue for us quickly and wouldn't even take a tip. Paul also talked me out of buying anything unnecessary so there was no charge at all. They seem to take pride in the history of their company and I found them to be extremely honest and kind. This really helped our family - thank you!

My family faced the untimely death of a loved one and all the emotions that go along with it. Eventually we found ourselves at the front door of Colonial Chapel. I was most impressed by their compassion and their upfront pricing. They did not take advantage of grief and worked with us throughout the duration of our ordeal. We found them to be patient, supportive and honest. Paul and the rest of the staff really made our time of bereavement endurable.

Paul Scudder has been very helpful and compassionate during the consultation. He's patient and went over details of the procedures and charges, what's included and what's extra. My family is happy with Paul and his team's services. Paul made sure things were streamlined for us, this is especially important during COVID-19.

Paul and Joe did a fantastic job taking care of my Uncle's final needs. As he was buried out of state, they made sure all of his needs were met and coordinated his transfer without any issues at all.

They were prompt in obtaining the death certificates and very kind and understanding in this difficult time. I recommend them highly.

We just had my grandmother's service here two days ago and Paul and Keith were really impressive. My grandmother had been sick for quite some time and wasn't looking like herself anymore, but Keith managed to work his magic and she looked healthy and peaceful. Seeing her like that helped us all cope after being distraught at how she suffered for so long. They took really good care of ya and we are very appreciative!

Paul and Jimmy have taken care of our family funeral needs for many years. Last week they did an amazing job for my grandmothers funeral. Everything we requested, they accommodated with a smile. I thought that the planning process would be too much to bear but, they made a difficult situation easier. They answered my every call, and explained everything, beyond what was their responsibility. The day of the service, everything was on point and taken care of. They went above and beyond. Thank you Paul and Jimmy!

I cannot say enough great things about Paul. He was very helpful, patient and accommodating when my father in law passed away suddenly. He made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. I appreciate him explaining everything down to how to work with our insurance company etc. We will definitely use them again when the time comes.

I had used colonial for makeing my mothers arrangments before she passed away which made life much easier because all i had too do was call and everything was done in advance, dealing with this was made a lot easier because PAUL was straight forward and honest and the priceing was great for what i wanted, great service. i just made another arrangment for my wife and it went as smooth as can be doing this in advance is an advantage because of the grief one has too deal with on such a short notice, colonial chapel did it right by me. family run and operated which says a lot over the corporation

Colonial Chapel did a great job helping us with my father-in-laws funeral arrangements. They were very friendly. They were very upfront about pricing. Also, they took money off for services we did not want, yet added another service and didn't charge. They are sort of "our neighborhood funeral home." I really didn't know anything about them. It isn't fancy but downhome. I really appreciated the suggestions that they gave to us.

One star due to the RUDENESS and UN-PROFESSIONALISM of the staff.

The lady on the phone is incredibly rude... thank goodness she works in the office and not as the funeral director, I could tell because when I saw her in person her attire and attitude was unprofessional.

Seriously, I have worked with other funeral homes before and they always had the most utmost calm and professional attitude. When I tried to bring up the issue to the manager, he too had her side, so I can only assume they are all like that. I wouldn't even bother talking to the owner, sorry to say.

This is the reflection

After the funeral, all the problems started. They'd gotten information wrong and completely screwed up the death certificate. The proper paperwork was filled out to fix their mistakes. But somewhere along the way it didn't get filed. Instead of owning up to that mistake they lied about it. Then it turned into a ridiculous series of lies and unethical practices. Because of the delay to have the proper paper filed, we couldn't move forward on closing accounts, social security etc, because you need the death certificate to have the correct information. You'd think that having
