Services
The Miranda Stool combines the ease of a stool and the comfort of a chair. The design by Matthew Sellens explores the elemental forms found when sculpting by hand. After sketches and a scale model, templates were used to cut wood shapes for the seat and legs. And over the course of a few prototypes, Matthew refined the flowing lines of the stool.

Found Perpetua in the Redirect Guide and asked him to come over and do a quote to refinish my small kitchen's hardwood floor. Initially the experience was very positive - personable guy, lots of recommendations, said he could fit the job in fairly quickly and would send over the proposal right away. Concerned that he'd only accept cash for our particular job (quoted $900 for a small room with no staining as he sounded averse to doing it, so our floors would not match the adjacent ones in the living room), but other than that we were actually looking forward to hearing from him. I have an older home and was ready for my floors to be re-finished. Matthew came by and offered me several reasonable options. He seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. We set up a date for the work to start. On the day the work was to have started, Matthew did not show up. When I called him, he said he would call me right back. He never did and I never heard from him again. It was a very disappointing and aggravating experience. I have since read other highly negative reviews of him in other sources.

Our new home had some very beat-up looking pine floors under ugly carpet in our upstairs. Matthew with Perpetua (recommended by our realtors) gave us a very reasonable quote and his team was available to do the work without a huge delay. The results are beautiful: the floors look absolutely gorgeous and we have a lot of jealous friends asking about them now.
