At Sawgrass Pediatric Dentistry are committed to providing your child with safe, gentle, and state of the art dental care. We want to establish a "Dental Home" for your child by the age of one. Tooth decay is a progressive disease resulting from the interaction between naturally occurring bacteria and sugar in our everyday diets.
Sawgrass Pediatric Dentistry of Carolina Forest is changing how your child goes to the dentist with a less invasive procedure and shorter recovery time. We are the first laser dentistry practice in Horry County and the entire state of South Carolina. Dr. Ryan always looks for ways to bring innovative technology to the practice for her patients to receive the best in dental care.
Please call our office with any emergencies your child may have that pertain to a toothache, knocked out a tooth, swollen gums, ulcers, or other oral injuries. If you have an emergency that is after our normal office hours, you will be given a number to call to contact Dr. Ryan after hours on our answering machine.
Beautiful office, great staff and amazing Doctor! Dr. Ryan and the staff are very knowledgeable and can make any anxious child feel at ease! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sawgrass. The kids were typically nervous before and during previous dental trips and this time they had no issues. Sawgrass made sure every detail was covered so that the children and the partents every need was taken care of.

Dentist and dental staff are great but front staff are terrible. Our girls have been going here for 3 years and we have had issues with billing from the start. Half the time they tell us we are all set after a visit and 3 months later we get a friendly reminder that we have a past due amount and the balance is due immediately. How can we be past due when we never received a bill to begin with, this has happened numerous times. They also like to tell us we are past due when we show up for an appointment months later when we never received a bill for the last visit. They demand full payment before

I am very disappointed by this place. It is so unfortunate as many people recommended it to us. They canceled our appointment without even letting us know!!!! You simply cannot just cancel an appointment that I have been waiting for 2 months! We were at their door when they told us they could not see us. I was not able to answer their phone call a day prior, BUT I DID CONFIRM IT THROUGH THE TEXT MESSAGE THE SAME DAY! I was told that they received the text message after 5 pm on Friday. Therefore, my appointment was cancelled for Monday. All the other places also send confirmation messages, emails

The best pediatric dentistry. Dr. Smith & Dr. Scott both are amazing with children. The front staff always very polite and the hygienist are phenomenal. I highly recommend Sawgrass Pedeatric Dentistry. Super clean and appointments are always on time. Oh, did I mention that their appointment reminder system is so efficient and so convenient. I can not say enough about the place.

Our kids had their first visit today and it went so well!! All of the staff is incredibly friendly and caring. We are so lucky to have found your office and very grateful for the recommendation we received from others to go here as well!!
Update: Both of my kids have had additional procedures and each time the hygienists, assistants, and Dr. Ryan have been awesome. They took special care to explain everything to them in kid friendly ways to ease their fears, “cleaned” my daughter’s baby doll’s teeth while she was waiting for hers to be finished, etc.
