Everything felt dark, sticky, and dirty. I felt as if I needed a shower when I left. Our feet stuck to the floor, and our hands stuck to the table. Food was warm, but there were few veggies with the hibachi chicken I ordered, and they weren't cooked well. Server was attentive. No hibachi demonstration anymore. Main complaint was cleanliness and food cooking quality.

If I could give them zero stars, I would do it. What a disgusting and filthy place…greasy floors and tables! We ordered the sashimi deluxe and we were told they had run out of salmon; to our surprise when our dinner was delivered there was salmon on the plate. Although, it did not smell as if it was rotting, it looked as if it was. We spoke to the manager and she told us that it was actually a higher grade of salmon that was delivered to the restaurant by mistake. My first trip to Yamato and got the grilled Chicken & Shrimp with fried rice (dine in) with 3 friends. Sorry to say I was not impressed. It looked good but did not have any flavor. We ask for knives and was told they didn't provide to customers. We said one in the group really needed a knife to make bites smaller. She said she found one and would wash it off. I probably won't go back.

The yakisoba was nothing but salt and sesame oil, and they've taken all of the good entrees off of their menu since they've changed ownership. I understand the importance of restructuring and condensing a menu as a means to improve loss, but I wouldn't go for anything besides sushi or hibachi anymore.
However, their sushi is still quite good, they have the best green tea of any asian restaurant I've been to, their decor is still nice, and their service is always wonderful.
