Farmer Brown
Our journey began in 1986 when "The Just Ice Cream" trailer was created. In 1993, the "Farmer Brown" sandwich was created, and due to the success of the trailers at the "Great Darke County Fair" the Farmer Brown Restaurant was built in 2003. While the Farmer Brown sandwich is the most popular item on the menu, there is a wide variety of gourmet sandwiches, subs, pizza, and salads.

We also offer hand dipped ice cream and specialty treats such as fudge brownie ala mode, pecan royale, toasted coconut treat, and banana splits. Enjoy the taste of the 20's with an old fashioned shake, malt, soda or orange sherbet slush. We are committed to serving quality food at a reasonable price in a smoke free environment.

Not sure how they run their business, but they never answer the phone for someone to place a take out order!!! I wanted to give a zero rating, but didn't have the option. It's hard to give a good rating if you're never able to place an order

I eat in this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I must say the customer service is always excellent and they keep the spot clean regularly. Rates are affordable and they serve large portions.

Phone rings busy 24 7 that you can’t call so had to drive out there to find out they no longer sell their famous sauce. Need to update info and get a working contact #.

Made my first visit today (7/13/19) and found this to be an excellent place for a bite to eat! A quaint farm decorated building that mimics a barn on the outside, with country decor on the inside. I ate a Farmer Brown sandwich with onion rings and enjoyed it immensely! The sandwich is one of the things they are famous for, and is their version of a philly cheese steak type sandwich. Note its served with a specialty sauce that mimics horseradish mixed with mayonnaise I believe.
An enjoyable place, with a friendly staff, good food, with awesome ice cream. This place is fit for families and I'll

The food was amazing. The wait was ridiculous, and there was an older waitress who was not friendly. She was yelling at her coworkers and snapping at customers.

This is a great place to eat ran by wonderful people. I have eaten nearly everything they make. All is good and the ice cream in home made waffle cones is a very special treat. Love these people, their service, their food, and their love for God. May God continue to bless this one if a kind treasure.

Hard to do better than a one star when you spend ten minutes standing in front of an empty counter. No humans could be located other than the group of four eating in the restaurant. They were still scheduled to be open for 90 minutes. We will check this place off for future visits.

It was great best home cooked hamburger. The fries I couldn’t stop eating them. Bruce ate the Super Farmer Brown sandwich. He hated mayo but the special sauce is a mayo base so the owner gave him a cup of it. He used it all.

This is Arcanum's version of Five Guys and In-&-Out Burger. It's a good product (great burgers), but it's pricey. They close during the Darke County Fair to set up a food truck, and their lines are like Cedar Point Rides. So if you want the best burger at the fair without the wait, stop in.
