Tucked away in the heart of Historic Gilman Village in downtown Issaquah you will find Flat Iron Grill. It is owner Sean Quinn's not-so-traditional take on a steak & seafood grill with the addition of some South American twists.
The dining area is a comfortable industrial-rustic room featuring classic and modern guitar music, red ceilings, warm colored walls and spattering of metal work from Gagnon Welding, giving it a not-at-all pretentious but a welcoming ambiance that makes you wanting to come back. All throughout the space you will find beautiful black and white photographs of local Washington destinations taken by local artists.

Thanks to our generous community for making the 2014 Taste of the Valley fundraising event a rousing success! The dinner was a amazing and the silent auction was able to raise funds to help protect rural character and the viability of farms, residents, and businesses of the beautiful Snoqualmie River Valley.
We're proud to announce we generated $1573 for the Northwest Children's Fund which was doubled by The Seattle Foundation! The Seattle Foundation's "GiveBIG" campaign generated an incredible $12.8 million in online contributions for nonprofits.
The Seattle Foundation "stretched" these gifts further, matching a share of every contribution with funds from a $1 million "stretch" pool provided by corporate sponsors, local philanthropists and The Seattle Foundation.

Ordered the salmon cakes (appetizer) as an entree at $20. My husband had the steak salad at $17. Food was fine; however, wait person would not honor our $15 off two entrees coupon because one meal was off appetizer menu. WHAT??!! AND the appetizer cost more than the entrée! Seriously?! Not cool and not the way to keep a customer!

Disappointed with the service and food quality. FIG was one of my favorite restraunts pre-pandemic. Food quality was not the same on this visit. More importantly, the service was mediocre. Filet mignon dinner was served without the mashed potatoes. When asked about them, the server said that he would bring some out. How disappointed were we when the bowl of mashed potatoes was actually polenta. Not what we were expecting. Filet mignon was butchered down to something that resembled a tenderized chuck steak. Definitely not worthy of the cost of the meal.

Came here for a dinner with family. It is located in the little outdoor mall. We got to sit out on the patio and enjoy the nice weather. Good size patio with little lights. The food we had tasted really good. Good wine and cocktail list.
Appetizers: Boar Empanadas & Salmon Cakes
You get two empanadas with a corn salsa. Salmon cakes come with two cakes with a frisee salad. Both were very yummy!
Entrees: Boar Saltimbocca, Flat Iron Steak and New York Strip .
The boar was the most exotic/unique thing on the menu. Looks like pork but tastes like beef. I feel like because of COVID many restaurants

I really wanted to like this place. The steak was bland and came well done regardless of ordering it medium. Also received polenta... which if you have never had it basically tastes like buttered grits vs. the mashed potatoes I requested. Service was slow regardless of us being maybe 1 of 5 tables in the restaurant, the waitress was visibly irritated by my mother in laws hearing problem. And never checked on us after we ordered. What a bummer...
Also don't put the steak on top of the mashed potatoes... that's weird and makes it difficult to cut into the steak. It also needed the chimmichurri

Meat and cheese plate was very underwhelming for $18 - a couple Costco crackers, two slices of prosciutto, and a bit of cheese. It didn't seem busy enough for the incredibly slow service we received on a weeknight. Beet salad was alright, great presentation too don't get me wrong, but ultimately wished I would have ordered something else. Can see why this might be a good spot for locals, but ultimately only stopped in because Black Duck was closed.

My family and I have gone here many times over the years and we have always liked it. We were excited to finally get back in there when things started opening back up, but it was super difficult to get a reservation as they are always so busy. The night we went I would say we were more underwhelmed than expected. Our waitress seemed upset and grouchy the whole evening. When my family member called her over to mention her drink was flat the waitress wasn't much help. She said she would grab my family member a different beverage ( which never came), and then later informed us that all beverages came

First and last experience here.
I will not go back.
I ordered to go. Evidently if you walk through the wrong entrance some big dude gets upset. He was condescending and menacing. Started walking me out what i found out was a poorly marked service entrance. Telling me I needed to go all the way around to the front door. When I pointed out the big welcoming sign "Flat Iron Grill" above the entrance he got more condescending and told me to put a mask on. I had used my shirt as I forgot mask at house. That was enough for me. I got in my car and left. I called and talked

We went here for a Bday dinner recently.
I can say by the limited menu I was really surprised.
I had the Flat Iron Steak and someone else had the Salmon .
OMG- I could not which was better !! They both were OUTSTANDING!! The BOMB ! !
Next time I'm gonna try the Confit - I hope Is a Pekin ....I was tempted this time but the server didn't seem to know enough about it. Maybe even annoyed that I asked.
She was good other than that though.
My compliments to the chef !!

My first visit - lunch today with four friends. Service was great, and the food was excellent!
I had the Cauliflower Truffle Pasta...composed of roasted cauliflower, garlic shallot cream sauce, spinach, truffle, parmigiano, campanelle pasta. It was TDF and I would literally order it every time ($18). Two friends had the Flat Iron Steak Salad - steaks were done exactly as ordered and they thoroughly enjoyed them. Another friend had the French Dip - not a crumb left ($19). And, finally, our fifth party member enjoyed the seared Ahi tuna special - perhaps inhaled in all of five bites - he loved

If you drink, this is a good place for you. Nice ambiance. Unfortunately, we do not. We ordered these (rib-eye steak, cauliflower pasta with creamy sauce, and their flourless chocolate lava cake). All good! We just wish we were given a bottle of water like the other tables and our server smiled more to us like she would with the others who order drinks.

I was here on Saturday (Dec 14th) for my birthday dinner with my family, and FIG was near our hotel so we went. We got there around 4 ish and did our reservations on Yelp, and Yelp reservation was useless when the resto was empty.
Our table was so dark and the male staff (who helped us with seating) said he'll lit candle and he never came back. We ordered the following: Bibb Salad (server brought Beet Salad twice instead of "BIBB" salad) $11, Truffle Pasta $20, NY Steak $35 and Ribs $16 with Chocolate Cake $9.
Server brought wrong item twice and the male staff misinformed saying

I came on a Friday evening and got seated right away for a party of two. There's both indoor and outdoor seating but since it was nice and sunny we opted for outdoor seating.
We started off with drinks and I got the paper plane ($12) which I enjoyed. For appetizers we got the clams and chorizo ($17) and the carpaccio ($12). I thought the carpaccio was okay but the clams and chorizo was really good! The clams and the chorizo were both delicious and the grilled bread really soaked up the yummy sauce.
For my entrée I got the flat iron steak ($25) which was heavenly! The meat was perfectly

This restaurant is NOISY.. But I keep coming back. But tonight was especially noisy with only 5 tables. The food is semi-gourmet. Presentation is okay, but I don't like my steak sitting on top of my mashed potatoes. My wife had halibut and it was sitting on top of her vegetables. I'll probably end up here again someday....
