Youngs Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate veterinary medical care for your pet's healthy life. You are an important part of your pet's health, and our staff is excellent at discussing your pet's health issues with you and providing education about your pet.
A healthy pet is our goal! At Youngs Animal Hospital, our veterinarians suggest an annual preventative exam for all pets. During your pet's exam, we will give your pet a full physical examination. We examine his or her vision, hearing, heart and lung functions, and test their joints and muscles. All of this information we collect during an annual exam helps us establish a baseline level of your pet's health and allows us to better treat your pet.
At Youngs Animal Hospital, we love new puppies and we can't wait to meet the newest addition to your family. We want to partner with you to keep your unconditionally-loving companion, friend and new family member healthy and happy. For your puppy's long term health, our veterinarians recommend that we examine your puppy as soon as possible to identify any potential health issues early on.
All of us at Youngs Animal Hospital love your aging companion animals and want their senior years to be as healthy and happy as possible. The size and breed of your pet will have a lot to do with your pet's life expectancy. In general all dogs and some cats are considered to be a senior pet by the age of seven (the "golden age").
Youngs Animal Hospital offers full surgical services for your dog and cat. Our highly-trained staff offers individual, compassionate pre and post-surgical care to each and every patient and we will communicate with you before and after surgery to keep you fully informed of your pet's progress and recovery.

After being in Johnson City 4 years, I have finally found a Vet I can trust with my 3 Westies. Blood results were answered with a personal call from Dr. Strickler, and follow up care. We also took advantage of the February discount on Teeth Cleaning. Their teeth look wonderful and a full recovery for all three. Dr Strickler personally called when extractions were necessary. Great Care, Pleasant and helpful office staff.

Top notch, caring veterinary care from Dr. Strickler and Dr. Dotson. Dr. Strickler has taken care of all 4 of my cats over the years including my oldest, a 17-year-old cat now, since she was just a kitten and seen her through three different fairly serious health crises over the years. As a family physician myself, I have a fair idea of what a skilled professional in the healing arts looks like, and in my view they don't come any better than Dr. Strickler. The care has always been thorough, kind, and caring and worth every penny. Highly, highly recommend this place!
