When most of us think of air conditioning we think of cooling the air. However, in the engineering of air conditioning, there is no such thing as cooling the air, there is only removing heat. The unit outside takes the heat from inside and dumps it outside with the help of refrigerant inside the system.
A disconnect switch is usualy placed nearby your furnace or at the top of the basement steps. On a lot of service calls we experience that someone inadvertently turned this switch off with a laundry basket or the like. On really hot days, or during high demands, it's possible for the breaker to flip or the fuse to blow.

Without a doubt the best home contractor service--of any kind--that we've had since moving here 2 years ago. Constantin was there the same day as I called, used shoe covers when entering my home, and diagnosed the issue with my air conditioning within 5 minutes of being there. The issue was fixed the same day at a very reasonable price. If you read on below, he really went above and beyond my expectation to resolve the issue, as well as prevent future problems.
