A New York native, Dr. Rob Nelson grew up in Delmar and is the youngest of three children. He attended St. Bonaventure University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Following in his father's footsteps, he later attended the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine for his Doctorate.

Dentist is great, everything you could ask for. Office policies of 48 hour cancellation (no accounting for COVID exposure) and credit card required to be on file leave something to be desired. Reminders for cleanings only 24 hours before the appointment seems contradictory to the 48 hour cancellation policy, and expect to wait more than ever now: had to wait a half hour for a cleaning even.

Very kind and friendly staff. Dr. Nelson was informative and personable. My first time coming here after relocating from a dentist I had been with for 15 years. I was apprehensive because it is hard to find a good quality doctor, but I had a great experience and will be returning here for my dental needs.

Dr. Nelson performed an extraction very slowly and carefully in the morning. Trace bleeding was minimal after the procedure and by 5:00 PM had stopped entirely. No pain during the extraction and none afterward. I am so grateful to have a dentist whose skill and supportive manner greatly reduce dental anxiety and lead to excellent results.

I’ve been coming here for yearsssss, I love it- It’s funny to say that about a dentist, but it’s true. All the staff is personable and kind and when you walk in you kind of feel like you know everybody.

Nelson Dental is the best in every way. All the staff is very professional … appointments are on time… questions answered honestly and thoroughly. I have needed same day appointments and they are always happy to get you through a rough patch with ease.
