From the time he was a little chap, Randall had a unique interest in understanding how things operate. As a youngster he learned from his Father's explanations of how things work, for example, how a four-stroke engine differs from a two-stroke and what a clutch is doing. As he got older he developed his knack for fixing things beginning with simple items and small engines before moving on to automotive repairs.

A friend insisted I have Fincastle Automotive look at my 2012 Ford F-150 truck after two other facilities had 1) misdiagnosed, and 2) quoted a price that turned out to be almost $2k over what I paid at Fincastle Automotive for the same work.

As the owner of an aging car that I have tried very hard to take good care of with regular maintenance, I have had some challenges over the past two years with my 2007 Buick LaCrosse. Will and Randall have been very up front and honest about some of the issues that have arisen with my vehicle. We have used this place several times. Very honest and trustworthy. They will try to upsell you on everything they can. Lately it's hard to get in for service. I called to get in for a state inspection and they were booked up for over a week out. I just can't wait over a week for service. Seems like they need to expand and get more mechanics.

I have had two great experiences having my company vehicle serviced at Fincastle Automotive. I had my oil changed and during the complimentary multi point inspection Randall noticed that my rear brakes were in need of replacement. A few weeks later we set up a time to replace. The waiting room is very nice, enjoyed a bottled water while I waited.

These guys are a rare find. Very proficient at what they do and will not give up until the prove what the problem is. Too many shops have become part changers and simply swap parts in an attempt to repair an issue. Randall & his partners will make all the needed diagnostic checks until they can prove which component is at fault. True to their word on every count and they will stand behind the work they do. They will treat you with respect and perform an honest accurate repair for you.
