We have reduced our class sizes in accordance with Department of Social Services recommended guidelines. Hidenwood Preschool has been an outreach of Hidenwood Presbyterian Church since 1957 and is governed by a Board composed of church members and at least one parent representative. The Board meets on a regular basis with the Director of the Preschool and oversees school policy and operations.
The Preschool is covered under the insurance policy of the Church. The two-year-old program is a co-op program. One parent (or adult designated by parent) will help in the 2s classroom each day. HPP is a play to learn preschool with a Level 4 Virginia Quality rating. We are dedicated to developmentally appropriate practices.

Services
The Preschool, with approval and support of Hidenwood Presbyterian Church, is charged with providing and maintaining a weekday education program for children ages two through four in an environment that fosters Christian principles while providing an educational experience designed to help the child grow intellectually, socially, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
The teachers and staff at Hidenwood Presbyterian School dedicate their time, patience, passion and knowledge to the developmental growth of each child. Teachers and staff are required to particulate in at least 16 hours of professional development each year as part of our participation in the Virginia Quality rating program.
