Cameo Dental is committed to its community, and that goes back to the start. The practice was founded in 1946 when Dr. Raymond Mardell opened up shop in Rosemount's historic Geraghty Building on Highway 3. As Rosemount grew, so did the number of patients in need of dental care. In order to meet this growing need, Dr. Mardell built a new facility on Cameo Avenue in 1960, where the practice stands today.
The practice expanded from there to meet the needs of the community, adding both square footage and dedicated dental professionals. Dr. Fred Groth joined the practice shortly after, and Dr. Ray Mardell's son Dr. Michael Mardell known by his patients as Dr. Mike joined in 1972. The practice quickly gained a reputation for kind, compassionate dentistry and patient centered care.

Dr. Lee has been practicing dentistry in the Twin Cities for over 25 years with a focus on preventive and restorative care for all ages. She takes pride in providing the highest quality of compassionate care to help patients attain beautiful and healthy smiles. She strives to make every appointment a comfortable and positive one.
Mary has served patients at Cameo Dental for over 35 years. She is a lifelong resident of Lakeville, Minnesota, where she and her husband, Terry, raised their two children, Andrew and Kelsey. They have a 3 year old King Charles Spaniel named Dublin. One of Mary's greatest passions is her garden, and if she's at home, that is usually where you'll find her.
Kathy has been with Cameo Dental for almost 30 years and has seen a lot of exciting changes in that time. She was raised in and still lives in Prior Lake, Minnesota. When she is not serving patients at Cameo Dental, she enjoys gardening, fishing, bowling, hunting, and watching the Vikings. She values her work-life balance, and loves to spend as much time as she can with her daughter.

Dr. Barbra Lee has been my dentist for over 14 years. Our whole family sees her and she is great with my little ones all under 10. They love going to the dentist to show her their teeth. She is compassionate, has passion, and is a perfectionist. Very gentle dentist. She is the only dentist we trust.
The team at Cameo Dental is also very kind and professional. The clinic is warm and inviting. We would definitely recommend anyone we know.

You guys did a very good job keeping me and other patients safe, during this COVID.
I have always trusted you as my dental office. I have been going here for 36 yrs and drive from Prior Lake every 6 months, everyone is so compassionate. I don't know what I would do if you guys were no longer running.

My family has been going to Cameo Dental since we moved to Rosemount several years ago. We’ve always had a great experience. Everyone from the front desk to the hygienists to the dentists work as a total team. I’ve never witnessed such a collegial environment in a dentist office before!
I am doubly impressed at how they’ve handled their operation during the pandemic. They are working so hard to keep patients and staff safe. Thank you!

Love! Love! Love! Cameo Dental! Can’t say enough great words about this place, from the wonderful ladies up front to Dr. Rob and everyone in between.
They are so good about explaining every detail of your visit and what will or won’t be covered by insurance which is always a struggle to understand what is covered. I have NEVER left that office not knowing what was going on or what it was going to cost, and I have never received a surprise bill either, and I can honestly say that has never happened with any other DDS or Doctors office before.
They have kept that great small town feel that

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Cameo. I first visited in June and have come back numerous times since for a bunch of different oral health issues I’ve been having. The staff has been kind, caring, patient, flexible, and understanding. They have provided great care and I would highly recommend them!

Going to the dentist has always been a nerve wracking experience for me. The team at Cameo Dental make my dentist appointments an overall positive experience. The hygienists and dentists do such a great job talking me through what they are doing and helping me relax during my visit. They also do great dental work and take the time to explain how I can keep my teeth and gums healthy between visits and answer all my questions. I can't ever see myself visiting another dental office!

Any dental office is my least favorite place to be, but my Cameo Dental experience was great! I get very "anxious" when I have to go to the dentist even for a checkup. But, everyone was very welcoming, explained everything clearly, and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I look forward to my next visit.

I love Cameo Dental! I have been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my whole family here! We use Dr. Rob, but have seen them all and they are wonderful! Also, the hygienists are awesome too! Great please I recommend it to everyone, they really take care of you from when you walk in until you leave!
