Services
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced martial artist, TruMotion Martial Arts has a program to fit your needs. Men, women and children of all ages and professions participate in our Private and Group Training Programs. We start children as early as 3 years old, have NO age limit for our adult programs, and all ages in between.
In our Tiny Tigers self defense class for kids ages 3-6 years, we focus on developing character and building confidence along with the physical attributes of coordination. Confidence comes from an elevated sense of competence. Our self defense program develops physical and mental competence through a variety of drills, exercises, and techniques designed to engage their minds and develop their physical strength, coordination, and endurance.

As a mature adult (50+), I find this is very helpful to keep both body and mind in motion. Definitely worth doing! Professionally run, in every sense! Friendly and welcoming to all ages and conditions! Open 9+ hours a day on Monday through Saturday. If you want greater self confidence and self defense training, you can't find a better place.

Hands down...or should I say Dukes Up!!!! Sensei Nancy and her cadets are amazing!! Teaching our kids and many adults how to defend themselves, be respectful, disciplined, teaching a look listen learn method. My son has been going here for approximately 4 months now, my son is very high energy and loves his Martial arts class’s, every morning we wake up he asks if he has Kung fu today, now with virtual in the world he can go everyday. He listens better at home has learned self control, and loves to practice his training with dad, he’s even doing better in school.

I highly recommend this dojo. I’ve had my 5-year old son in the Tiny Tigers class for about 6 months now. He loves it! Sensei Nancy is great at teaching kids. I was so grateful when the tournament was done in such a positive and uplifting way. It was such a great experience. And they even have ONLINE classes! Which has been wonderful during the Carona Virus stuff. I also love that the tiny tigers class has prepared him to start school next year by teaching how to sit still when needed and how to follow directions.

My son enjoyed doing Karate we had him signed up unfortunately with Covid we weren't able to afford it. We had canceled our membership back in April. We received a charge to our acct of $216 in August rite when school was about to start. Already down an income, I tried to reach out to them. Calling other branches still no response, leaving multiple voice messages To an active number, Still nothing. Finally posted on one of their promotions and I get a response 4 days later. TruMotion Martial arts is the best place to train. I am now 37 my son is 12 we are still going strong love all the training we get from the instructors from utah and the ones from out of state. I would name them all but I am sure I would forget some awesome instructors I have learned from.

Nancy I am 33 and the older and younger black belts help me if I don't understand something. My son is 8 and has been training since he was 3 and he enjoys it has meant many friends there. I would recommend ussd to anyone looking to learn martial arts.

This is the place if you want your child to have thorough instruction on the details of karate done in a way that is age appropriate and respectful. But “Miss Nancy” and her staff do not stop at karate technique. They are also very specific with each student on how to be more respectful at home and in school, how to maintain calm and focus during karate class and in school, and how to be friendly and courteous to adults and to each other...

Karate is amazing and your kids can learn so much from studying it but please for your own sake look for another studio.
This is in response to your response USSD.
1- My daughter has been going here for a year because she's been under contract. She loves karate and is super sad to not be going anymore but I'm also tired of paying $200 a month for her to run around and not actually be learning very much karate. Also her "private" lessons aren't even private so we are not getting what we signed up for.
2- We aren't really saving any money considering our daughter can't/won't be attending the events

I’ve been training here for about 8 months in the adult class, and I love it! The classes are accessible to where I’m not intimidated by more advanced students, and challenging enough that I am always learning something new. The sensei is fun and approachable, and my peers are great! It’s been a great way to learn a new skill, get out of the house, and make new friends! I definitely recommend this dojo and am excited to learn more!

My son Jayden and i came across USSD at my wifes insurance office. Jayden saw a box with little flyers saying he could learn a free lesson. We filled it out with our fingures crossed hoping to be the lucky winners. Jayden has been a part of USSD for a little less than a month now and loves it. Nancy and the staff are so encuraging and uplifting. with such little time i have seen my sons confidence grow. i recomend USSD to everyone.

I have two of my kids that just started here. We signed our teenage son, and right away Nacy was great! Nancy offered to give my daughter a free lesson. My kids love coming here...they have learned a lot. My daughter goes home and talks about everything she has learned. I love how they help out charities and get the students to give back. Its wonder that they do that!

I'm came into this studio today and I'm completely impressed. The students are sharp , disciplined and having fun. The instructors made me feel like part of the family, especially Nancy. Watching her teach children motivates me to be a better person, such patients and care. If I could give these guys 10 stars I would.

This school has been FABULOUS for my son. He started at four years old and it's been almost a year there. I've watched him become more focused, determined, and respectful. The sensei are quite wonderful with small children and really understand the limitations of age and development when planning lessons. Even the other students help each other without conflict. Everyone just wants you to succeed.
Yes, there are schools out there that are less expensive, but when you factor in the amount of time (2-3x a week, plus a private lesson and MANY other events to improve skills and build camaraderie)

Amazing place to learn to have confidence in yourself. It teaches you moves to defend your self. My son was starting to get bullied now he knows how to defend him self but not to be a bully. You learn patience, confidence, inner strength, understands practice makes perfect. It's more like a second family now. Best decision we've made to put my son in karate. United studios is the best place to learn.
