How does counseling work? Well, it's both simple and complex. Simple because all you have to do is be open and willing to explore the reasons you feel bad. Complex because you might be scared of opening up that "can of worms" you have worked so hard at disguising all of these years. This is where my years of experience and expertise will be very helpful to you.
We choose a partner with the best of intentions. We want to feel loved, supported and safe. Sometimes relationships are toxic to our Self and sometimes our relationships just got off track. The first question I will explore in couple's counseling is What do you want? Each of you entered this relationship as an individual with your own set of dreams, hopes and baggage from your past.

A complete and utter scam artist. For my second appointment, I sat in the waiting room for 50 minutes because her clock was wrong. In the middle of our session, she told me that my mental illness is a "crime". When I disagreed that I was breaking any law simply by having a psychiatric diagnosis, she grinned and began patronizing me further. When I got up to leave, she told me I would still be paying for my appointment despite insulting me and wasting my time. Talk about rude and unprofessional.
