Our dedicated, experienced staff combines compassion with the latest in veterinary technology to provide the highest level of care possible for your pet. We understand that a pet is part of the family, and from the moment your pet enters our hospital he or she becomes part of our family, too.
At Malta Animal Hospital, we know having a sick pet can be stressful when not knowing how to help ease their pain. Luckily, we offer drug-free, side-effect free laser therapy treatments in conjunction to your pets already prescribed treatment plan. Laser Therapy Treatments are used to help reduce pain and heal wounds in a number of different scenerios.
Dr. Jake Zaidel lives his lifelong dream of serving his community as a veterinarian each and every day. After pursuing an undergraduate education at Michigan State University's Lyman Briggs School, Dr. Zaidel earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree at Cornell University.
He has served his profession as a Leader in the New York State Veterinary Medical Society's L2K program and is Past-President of the Capital District Veterinary Medical Society.Dr. Zaidel is a co-founder and Treasurer of Eastline Romp & Play, a non-profit corporation that has partnered with the Town of Malta to develop and maintain a dog park within the community.

This is an exciting project, and we will post any progress toward our goal! Malta Animal Hospital welcomes interns from high school and college, in veterinary and veterinary technician programs.

Dr.Kent and his team are absolutely amazing ♥ My DaisyMai was feeling awfully sick when we arrived on a Thursday and by Sunday morning she is back to being a playful and vocal puppy. I would definitely recommend Malta animal hospital to all my friends and family with their pets .

I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with Malta Animal Hospital. Dr. Jake spent so much time with us at our first puppy visit and has called to check in our our little Rocco. He explains everything to me clearly and is very patient with me and all my zillion questions. The staff is amazing and I feel so good about our Vet choice!

Can't say enough good things about this place! We recently switched over to Malta Animal Hospital because our previous vet struggled with delivering even the most basic services.
Malta Animal Hospital is amazing! We pulled in for our new puppy appointment and within two minutes of arriving a remarkably friendly and helpful vet tech named Megan came out and had a 10-15 minute conversation with us regarding our new puppy and our other dog.
After Megan took our puppy Lucy inside, Dr. Olivia G. came out and picked up right Megan left off. She was personable, answered all of our questions,

We are so lucky to have such a great group of people who take care of our pup! From the receptionists, to the veterinarian technicians, and veterinarians themselves, the staff here never fails to make us feel important with each visit. Pickles (our pug) is always greeted so kindly by Peggy or Carly at the front desk. We've mainly worked with LVT Jean, and Dr. Michelle on the majority of our visits, they handle Pickles so well and make each visit effortless. If needed- they will even trim his nails for us at no charge. MAH also provides daycare and boarding services, we dropped Pickles off

My experiences with Malta Animal Hospital, including the most recent, have been outstanding. I began bringing my cats here after I moved to NY in early 2014. All of the staff are caring and knowledgeable and appointment times are readily available and flexible. I love that the client services staff and technicians recognize me and my cats. Dr. Jake Zaidel in particular managed care for one of our cats through an extended illness, up to and including helping him pass on peacefully in an emergency euthanasia just yesterday.
