I recently had the pleasure of revisiting Halpern Pharmacy for the second time and like the first time, it was a wonderful experience. The staff is super nice and helpful. I purchased a pair of therapeutic & support gloves some time ago and returned to get a new pair. I received numerous compliments and wherever I went, people asked me where did I purchased my gloves. I referred them to this pharmacy store. I was so happy to find another item that I had not seen anywhere else. Halpern Pharmacy is part of what makes the east 20s one of the most livable spots in NYC. They remember who you are.

* Send over crutches when you've sprained your ankle and can't walk to their shop.
* Call your doctor for refills, and insist that he call the insurance company so that your non-preferred meds don't break your budget.
Bottom line: They ALWAYS put the customer first--and do so with charm and a smile.

I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help upon entering the store. I already felt like I was in good hands. The staff was able to help me choose the medical supplies I needed to pick up for a sick family member, which was a relief considering I don't know that much about medical supplies! I was also happy to find that I could get my flu shot conveniently at the store. All in all a very positive experience

I think they are very nice at this pharmacy but if you aren't using a prescription plan you will be paying way over market. They have been charging me 60-100% more than the pharmacy around the corner. This is not a small differential. I paid $160 for script that was $80 at the pharmacy around the corner. I paid $20 at Halpern instead of $8.00 for another script. They told me it's because of contracts but I am not so sure. It is very unfortunate since I really thought the staff was very kind. When I asked them about the pricing they became quite nasty. Sorry about this because

They're so nice in here and they even remember your name after a while! It's much better than going to the cvs/duane reade pharmacies. You can get your prescriptions filled and also all sorts of other medical goodies like bandages and chair lifts. I've never needed anything and not found it here. Halpern is the best

I had fractured my left foot and was wearing a cast and using crutches. The doctor put a cheap shoe on the cast so it would not touch the street. Wanting something better, I went to Halpern which was about 3 blocks from me.
I was exhausted from the 3 block journey on crutches, and this woman at Halpern made me feel welcome and had me sit down. She then brought multiple shoes to put on the cast. When I stood to leave, she noticed my crutches were not properly adjusted for my height and adjusted them for me.
In summary, I felt like someone genuinely cared about me and had the healthcare knowledge
