It's a very stressful time when your car isn't working they found out that I just had a loose cable And saved me the money from buying a new part Other companies would have charged before and they performed perform thorough tests with pictures and everything I will be back to this family business. These guys/gals were amazing.

They were very friendly and helpful. I took my car into the dealership for a recall and the dealership gave me a long and expensive list of items that they wanted to repair. I took my car to Tinley auto for a second opinion. I showed the list and they were honest about what actually needed to be done, what could wait, and what really didn't need to be done. They put the customer first not their pocket book.

Best mechanic/auto repair place I've been to. Honest and prove everything with pictures. Another corporate owned shop tried to quote me over $1000 for parts that didn't need replacing. Adam was a great tech and took the time to test drive my car with me to verify an issue. Excellent follow up and communication.

I normally do not write comments on car repair experience. But, my experience with this business is quite different from other dealers or auto shops.
First of all, receptionists are quite happy to talk to the customers even though I was placed on hold for briefly.
They seem to enjoy their jobs of listening and helping customers.
My old car problem was , sunroof could not close.
I called my regular auto shop to see if it can be fixed. Unfortunately, the shop could not handle that kind of job. Since my car is an old car , I don’t even bother to call dealership. I found this business by searching

Tinley Auto is a family owned business who really cares about their customers. They are friendly and good people. Quality service at reasonable prices. I recently bought a 1996 Corvette and they did a pre-buy inspection at no charge! The owner Chris is a Vette lover and knows much about them so that’s great to know! I am so glad I finally found a good mechanic I can trust. It wasn’t easy!

I highly recommend Tinley Auto Repair! I have a 20 year old foreign car so finding a mechanic willing to do the work without over charging for parts and labor is near impossible. I really appreciated the honesty of the inspection and issues with my car (we saw a few things that will need to be addressed in the future but aren't pressing right now). Absolutely no up selling just quality, affordable work that got my car running smoother than it has in years and for less than the initial quote!!! I won't go anywhere else with my car.

Had air conditioning replaced 4 years ago on a classic auto. It was repaired in what seems to be a "do it yourself" kind of way. My main issue is that I cannot speak to the person who did the repairs. The Freon ran out after a couple of months and since then I have sporadically tried to contact them by phone and in person. I stopped in today and the tech who did the work was 10 feet away from me and I actually waived to him but I could not speak to him despite me saying I had 2 simple questions - 2 other AC repair shops cannot find the port to recharge the system and he bypassed/deactivated

Drove here from Chicago after a poor experience in the city @ another auto shop. The people here were so friendly and accommodating, as well as thorough in the work they did on my car. I was quoted nearly $1000 at a shop in the city for new rotors but they were able to do the work for $300 here without replacing them. Highly recommend!

Owners Chris and Tammy, the owners, know what its like to be of service to customers. They sent me an email prior to repair telling me exactly what was wrong and how they would fix. Their form was best I have ever seen.
Not going to go into what they fixed but will only say the repairs were done timely and with a very fair price.
If you want good service, honest owners, strong work environment, fair pricing and on-time finish Tinley Auto is place to go,

I cannot say enough about Jim, Chris and the whole team. Jim called me up and gave me the bad news on my vehicle and helped us feel at ease the entire way. They did more than just work on the car. They showed compassion and care for us, the customer. I would recommend this mechanic to family and friends because I know they would not be disappointed. Absolutely do not rent a Uhaul from these people! They charged me twice for a mattress protector, charged me 30 extra miles, couldn't answer the question about the parking brake...answer was I think that's if you are hauling something, couldn't give me an answer on the yellow light on the dash. I drove up there to make sure it was ok and I wouldn't break down on the expressway and she assured me she THOUGHT it was the light for the tow hitch. Very reassuring. I am to blame.....should of read the reviews. They speak VOLUMES.
