The Black Art Depot was founded in 2004 in Atlanta, GA by Kani Saburi Ayubu. Our goal is to be the top supplier of African-American art, gifts and collectibles worldwide. We believe that art can be used as a tool to turn houses into homes, to motivate and inspire lost souls, and to bring happiness into the hearts of others.

I went to the actual store on Friday with a friend and we were thoroughly impressed with the items presented. We also bought more than we intended. And I plan to go back next week for another item. The staff was supper great and very professional. I would recommended to anyone.

On September 21, 2021 I placed an order online for two pieces of artwork. I wanted them both framed. The issue with this company started the moment I pressed send. Their website allowed me to ask for expedited shipping on the framed pieces of art, the next morning I was immediately called and told we can not expedite framed pieces of art they will take up to seven business days to ship. I agreed to it and expected that in 7 to 10 days my two pieces of art would ship. well today is October 18th, not only do I not have my art but this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had

I decided to visit a black owned art gallery. I will most definitely return again. I enjoyed the array of art portrait available and the online website offers a variety of portraits and decor for home and bathrooms. Shay, provided a warm welcoming. The staff was very knowledgeable of the artist.

I appreciate the patience and endurance shown to me while visiting your business. I knew what I wanted in my head but conveying it to the salesperson was challenging. But I have to give it to them, they stayed with me. Showing me various prints and pictures until he found exactly what I wanted. The two pictures fit perfectly in place on my wall and looks beautiful to me (I am the only one that it matter.) 😊 thanks 👍

I recently placed an ordered with The Black Art Depot and selected Next Day Air shipping for a large shipping fee. The store opens at 9:00 am, and i placed my order at 9:51 am Friday. The store did not process my order until Monday and the item was not recieved until Wednesday at 6:44 PM. When i contacted The Black Art Depot with my displeasure of being charged for next day air and not recieving the package until 5 business days later. I was informed that my order missed the expedited shipping for that day (51 minutes late equaled 4 business days). No refund for the expedited charged was given

My order has been sent then pulled from shipping. called left emails and got a guy that explained the order was wrong when. shipped still waiting for confirmation of new shipped product.. This is sad that A black business owner would go to th extreme of give black businesses the reputation that you buy from us and we get.it to you whenever or never.

In late September, early October (?) my order finally showed up! No explanation, not even a notification that it was coming, it just landed on my doorstep like I had ordered the week before. Although I am still very disappointed in their complete lack of customer service, I absolutely love the mugs and use them regularly.

Purchased a group of 3 figurines for my mother. Ended up with a duplicate for 1 of them. Contacted customer service to be able to send it back and get the correct item. I paid for shipping to have the duplicate sent back. i was informed once the return was received the correct item would be sent out.Waited 2 weeks for the correct item. contacted customer care again and was now informed i had to pay for shipping on the new item as well. during all my previous contacts with customer care i was not told i had to be for shipping again. poor customer service.That will be my last order from the black

Do not waste your time or money. I've been calling and emailing this company about an order placed October 15th. I initially requested two day shipping because I was getting item as a gift. Didn't receive it. Ten days later I get an email that item was no longer in stock. I responded to the email as directed about the substitution. Still no response. Called on Oct 29th to follow up. I was told that the item would be shipped out that day and that I would receive a refund of the cost difference and my shipping fees. Still didn't happen. Received a "shipped" email on November

The way this business is run is the reason why Black people have a hard time patronizing BLACK BUSINESSES.

I sent an email with a concern regarding their online checkout, as I was just about to place an order on their website. Never received a response. After reading some of the other reviews here, apparently this isn't an isolated incident. Luckily I did not proceed with the order, and it sounds like I may have saved myself alot of frustration.

This is very unfortunate.

BEWARE! I have been calling, texting, emailing...all with no response regarding an order paid for over a month ago. No one has responded and item not received! I am ready to write against this place on every social media venue! I am Black and find it absolutely shameful that you treat a paying customer in this manner!

I was satisfied with the actual products I ordered, art work. However, the processing of the order was unsatisfactory. On one occasion, I ordered two pieces but, only one was shipped with a notice that the other was not in stock. Inventory should reflect that upon purchase, not shipment; I had already custom ordered a frame because it was available at the time I paid for it. On my last order, I was shipped something completely opposite of what I ordered, and when I contacted "customer service", I had to continuously check with them on the status of if my piece was in stock, when it will
