I discovered acupuncture over 30 years ago when I sought a healthier method to treat my own asthma. Studies from the N.I.H. (National Institutes of Health) have shown that acupuncture and moxibustion. CORRECTION (8/29/07): In this story, an opinion was incorrectly attributed to medical blogger Kevin Pho. Pho had blogged about the syndrome, but he was referring to another blog and the opinion stated in the Camera article was not his own. It's like being trapped under water, he says. Even with the most powerful motivation to hold your breath - life or death - at some point, you consciously decide you cannot do it any longer.
The primary goal of this clinic is to treat you, and not just your disorder. Often a patient comes to me with a specific complaint such as shoulder pain, and after treatment, the person finds that other aspects of their health have improved as well.
I've found that if a person is properly treated, not only does their pain disappear, but sleep deepens, digestion improves, pounds are shed, the skin becomes clearer and smooth-textured, bowels and blood pressure are regulated, and an overall vitality returns. After treatment, my patients often find they can breathe more deeply and are better able to handle life's daily stresses.

When we place extremely fine needles painlessly in the body, we activate the body's innate healing abilities. Acupuncture theory views pain as a form of stagnation or blockage within the body. Blockages or stagnation can occur anywhere in the body. Let's think of the acupuncture meridians or pathways as a series of canals criss-crossing the whole body.
Naturally, since 80% of the patients we treat here in the clinic are women, they often seek help with gynecological issues. Whether you have P.M.S.; painful or irregular cycles; or excessive bleeding; acupuncture usually rectifies these issues within approximately three months of treatment. For women who are perimenopausal or in menopause, we can help you take control of your health.
Whether or not you suffer from a sleep disorder, patients say that acupuncture improves the quality of their sleep. Studies show the average person living in the U.S. is in sleep debt an hour or more each night. Heart disease, diabetes, depression and cognitive disorders have all been linked to a lack of shut-eye.

Chris is fantastic! He has helped me significantly in the past with digestive issues, stress overload, anxiety, and a TBI. Most recently, I was injured with a sprained ankle from climbing and after just two sessions of needles and heating moxa over the area, the swelling and pain had gone down almost completely. I am so grateful for Chris, he has truly changed my life!
I look forward to every session I go to as it leaves me feeling rejuvenated and at peace. I am now back to climbing with no pain and a healed sprain after never even having to use ice!
I highly recommend Chris La Rosa!

Chris is GREAT! He has helped me with conditions the medical doctors said I was stuck with. He has helped with a nasty ongoing cough that no medication could help. He has helped with all sorts of muscle aches - shoulder pain, low back pain, etc. He has even helped bring back my sense of smell - yes, really! He has a very gentle touch with his needles. I have been seeing him for over 15 years. I can't say enough good things about him!

Chris is a miracle worker. He can help anything from digestive problems to chronic back pain. His extensive knowledge and training in Japanese acupuncture gives him a skill set that’s rare to find anywhere else nearby. His quiet, modest, and charming personality makes you feel safe and comfortable and without even knowing when it happened the pain dissipates and the quality of your life improves.
Check out his reviews on Genbook for more details of his practice and to sign up for an appointment. His rates are very cheap considering how effective his treatment is. I feel very lucky to have found

Chris La Rosa is an amazingly gifted healer. He uses a Japanese style of acupuncture which involves moxa which seems to get way better results for my back problems and cough I had than other acupuncturists I've gone to, & I really like acupuncture, so I've gone to a bunch. I've never found any other acupuncturists who use this Japanese technique of moxa, which is absolutely amazing! He also treated a knee injury that came from a fall; I was surprised that acupuncture can treat this! Japanese needles are way thinner than Chinese needles, so it doesn't hurt also. That's a plus. He has a wonderful

I have been a patient of Chris's in the past and this review is long overdue. I am not only a fellow clinician, but I also have been the type to not necessarily "subscribe" to all types of eastern medicine. However, I have consistently been impressed with the what acupuncture has provided me as well as my own patients. Chris's style of acupuncture is non-invasive and quite comfortable for those patients that are afraid of needles, as he practices Japanese acupuncture. I have seen the results of the changes in my own body, as well as in patients for conditions such as temporomandibular (TMJ) pain
