Tried every trick in the book to change your relationship: avoidance, nagging, anger, silent treatment, resigned. Is your relationship filled with too much conflict and not enough connection? Now more than ever, men and women are struggling to make their relationships work. The landscape for marriage has undergone huge changes, and today's couples face new challenges that did not exist for past generations.

Women and men bring completely different skill sets into a relationship. Women are raised to value closeness and connection, and men are raised to value independence and competition. I help couples build healthier relationships by teaching men how to live more relational lives. Most men were raised in such a way that stripped them of the skills needed to be an engaged partner.
Services
Feeling disconnection in relationships is normal, but not having the tools to repair that disconnection is lethal. Things may seem fine when the waters are calm, but as soon as the waves start crashing are you ready to jump ship? Therapy unlocks the tools to understand, support, engage, and find your way back to connection.
Your first session gives us a chance to address all your concerns and develop a plan to get you where you want to be. Your first session includes four main objectives: Gain an understanding of where you are now and what you want to address. Feedback where I give you my understanding of what is going on and how we can work together to reach your goals.
Have you thought about going to therapy but just didn't follow through? Do you see attending therapy as a sign of weakness or an admission that you have problems? You are not alone. It doesn't have to be this way! Think of therapy like weight training. You only gain strength through the hard work of breaking down your muscles, to have them constantly repaired and stronger each day.
If you believe your relationship has reached a crossroads and you need change, couples counseling is your best bet. I help couples get away from conflict, learn how to connect, and build stronger and more meaningful bonds that stand the test of time. The first step in building a better relationship is understanding when to reach out for help.
It may come as no surprise that most men have very little confidence in their ability to be a good partner. Our society has socialized men in a way that prevents them from truly connecting with their female partners. This is sad but true. Men are raised to be competitive, high achieving, unemotional, inflexible, and strong.

Greg is a genius... which says a lot coming from me. My complaints for men are not handed out readily. But in this case, Greg is a diamond in the rough. He is kind, articulate, humble and willing to listen to anything without any shame or guilt. My complaints to his mother as well:)
