Be sure to try the crispy roast duck and the many soups, from borsch to czarnina to tripe. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu; it's one of the best Polish restaurants in Chicago. The waitresses are very courteous and friendly. The name of this restaurant is created from the first letters of my children's names.

Much like I am proud of my children, we pride ourselves on presenting you with a comfortable atmosphere, good food, good service and reasonable prices. After dining with us we hope you feel like a part of our family. We look forward to serving you and your family now and in the future. A warm and friendly casual dining atmosphere with ample Polish and Lithuanian ethnic charm.

Wonderful authentic little place - everyone there is super friendly and it has a very comfortable, homey feel. If you are craving a unique, culinary cultural experience I would strongly recommend the Polish or Lithuanian samplers - they are reasonably priced and give you a lot for your buck. The food is cooked and seasoned exquisitely and they treat you with a variety of fresh, tasty breads to get your tastebuds moving. There is nothing but warm satisfaction from the whole experience and I will visit here any chance I get. Happy Anniversary, Madenka! You deserve the longevity.

Very good quality of food and very thoughtful packing for delivery! I wish I could post some pictures but my wife and I ate everything so fast. Clean plate club! I recommend Hunter's Stew and Stuffed Cabbage. We'll be ordering more for sure! This is a perfect take on German (Prussian), Polish and Lithuanian cuisine. Glad to have this business in our neighborhood.

Great Lithuanian restaurant with large private space. I was there for lunch after funeral service. Open bar, served family style. Cream of chicken soup, salad with individual dressings, bread basket, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, vegetables, kugelis, ceppelini, sausages, individually wrapped sour cream, assorted pastries, masked servers. Delicious.

As close to grandma and mom's authentic home cooking as you are going to get. I've ordered multiple different dishes and every thing has been excellent. I do recommend getting your pierogis sautéed in the butter and onions though and not just boiled.

My favorite Polish place. Go on Saturday and have Goulash over Potato Pan cakes. Always served with a variety of breads. Can't beat the prices. Soup for carry out is wonderful.

The decor is a bit dated and you could miss the sign if you're not paying attention. Very attentive staff and prompt. Their chicken dumpling soup is great and the Lithuanian combo is huge! The dessert was sweet and I'd come back here

It had been hidden from me for years, and a spur of the moment, and not wanting to wait 40mins to eat at huck Finns. We googled for another diner and this gem popped up.
This decision was the best to ever be made. The staff is amazing, very professional, friendly, and attentive.
They give a welcoming environment.
Now the food....
The food was a whole new experience to me, our waitress was very communicative and informed us on our choices of food.
Our meal was beyond delicious and an excellent mix of tastes that we certainly don't regret. Their beef was so tender and juicy. The chicken was

If you enjoy Polish food/Central European food, you owe it to yourself to try Mabenka out. All the food tastes like it came from a grandmother's kitchen. Very fresh and hearty. The service is very fast, friendly and attentive. I am a healthy eater and very seldom need to take food home from a restaurant. For $20 I had enough food for 2 days! Everyone at the table was raving about the food as well.

All of my previous review still stands, but I wanted to mention that there is a desirable keto option. I got the steak salad WITHOUT the taco shell. The strip steak is really delicious, the salad portion is huge, avocado, and green salad. Tasty and only $12. Major value!

Breaded pork chop is two Flintstones steak sized chops. I didnt eat this because of the bredding, but my mom is going to get at least 3 meals out of it!

Wish it was closer!

I haven't had any type of Lithuanian food since a child--my grandmother (who was Czech) dappled in Lithuanian cooking for her first husband who was from Lithuania. So this brought up some memories for me. I had the Lithuanian sampler plate--it was very tasty, generous portion, and inexpensive. Overload on carbs so beware. But I guess that's what a person needs when living in northeastern cold Europe! My server was very attentive and pleasant. I also had a bowl of cream of mushroom soup which was also very good. I had a slice of bread from the bread basket which I enjoyed as well. Pumpernickel

Fantastic food. Wonderful staff. Very settled in family restaurant. This is a place locals eat. The staff knows many of the patrons in here tonight. When away from home traveling I seek out places like these. Truly pleased. $26.20 for honestly enough food for 3 I just needed to try a variety and sample the different tastes...

Hadn't been here in a long time, had a taste for polish food. Wasn't as good as I remember.
Had chicken dumpling soup that was just ok, dinner was a cabbage roll & veal cutlet, large portions but everything was sort of lacking flavor. I don't think I'd go back again. Super good waitress tho.

Mabenka is our go~to restaurant when we're in the area. The smoked polish sausage is the absolute best. But the hot beet soup is also to die for! It comes with boiled potatoes on the side to add yourself. We always get a quart to go and it's only $5. It also comes with a nice portion of breads. The potato pancakes are so good. Better than any I've tried.
I haven't tried the breakfast yet, but hope to someday.

Located right off Cicero Avenue near 79th St. Large parking lot; seems to be an older crowd..you know one of those places the family has been going to for years. I was there for breakfast. It is decorated in an old school style. Booths and tables. Seats large groups..

I was not impressed. They were nice, fast service but I did not leave going OH Man! I am going back. It is a European menu otherwise.. I think Polish cuisine.

Not a bell ringer for me.

The beet soup and the pumpernickel bread are outstanding. I haven't tried anything else, I heard the mushroom soup was really good too.

This place has been around forever and it seems like everyone knows about it and loves it.

Service is great. I'll be back!

Unique diner with opportunity to taste Polish and Lithuanian food. I personally enjoyed the Polish plate a bit more and think their polish sausage was the best I ever had, but enjoyed getting to experience both cuisines. Their complimentary bread is fantastic.

I loved loved loved the warm beet soup! My sister and I came here in search of Lithuanian food. On the menu was a mix of Polish, Lithuanian, and American food. I got the combo plate, which had some Lithuanian sausage, sauerkraut, some sort of dumpling, and A huge wedge of something like kugel. There was enough food on the plate to feed an army. My sister got the goulash, which was served over a potato pancake. It was not like American goulash, it had large chunks of beef with some sort of gravy over the top of it. Again two or three people could've eaten it.

The service was really nice, friendly
