Pepe's Mexican Restaurants

This location has been here since 1967 that says a lot there. We had a very nice dinner and my wife had a small fish bowl margarita it was huge. Service was great food tasting very good. I would recommend this location to anyone. I plan to return again. Thank you

Horrible food horrible service. It took ten minutes to get a menu. During that time the hostess came to the table to ask if we need anything. I thought that was a silly question, considering we didn’t even know what our options were. After ordering from the hostess, that was the last we saw of her. Not her fault, not her job. The order was incorrect and we did not receive our appetizer. I caught a busboy as he passed (because there was no wait staff) and he fixed the situation. This is a horribly run establishment with a staff doing their best just to get buy. Shame

The food was amazing. I don’t remember the name of the dish but the steak was cooked perfect. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because there is slot machines who doesn’t match the ambient and people playing in them who was constantly yelling and making me and my girlfriend uncomfortable

Management on Black Friday 2021 let go of business of an entire family that regularly goes there due to a personal vendetta in which her mother (waitress) made a mistake when we came with out of town family members... that family member passed away in which he left an outstanding balance...
WE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT..... she forced us to pay his balance or don't ever come back.......... so not fair and we've been coming here for decades....

Came here for lunch. Their food was good. Standard typical Mexican good nothing special. Margaritas are made from flavored syrup so they aren’t all that good. Service by waitress was very good and attentive. They also have slot machines to play with which are fun. Overall it was a nice experience with good food.

Was there last Sunday..buffet was awful.....everything in it was bad......we gone there many times but this last time extremely disappointed with the food and service......never again

Very friendly staff, big menu, good food for fair prices. Tues / Thurs half off margaritas. . Highly recommend them!

I ended up coming here after the Chicago Ridge location refused to take my group order, despite being nearly empty. This location, by comparison, was packed, but they still had my food ready by the time I got there.

Seems clear to me that this location has much better staffing and management!

The customer service at this location is always consistently sooo nice! And the food always consistently good. Portions are huge!

Other pepes give sauce with the taco dinner. At least 3 I've noticed.
Literally all I've been to, besides this location.
I've gone to multiple locations.
This location charges extra for everything that I get with the taco dinner at any other location.
This franchise up charges.

I highly recommend to buy the buffet plate. The variety of food is great, great flavor and healthy choices. To drink,? you know what it is so yummy and refreshing the prepared mineral water or one of their delicious fruit flavor Margarita, mango or tamarindo flavorsare my favorite ones.

First time at this location. Nothing is authentic about the food. Food was horrible. Cheese on nachos was fake. This place should not even be open. Don't waste your time!!!

I come her every Tuesday for the 1/2 price margaritas, they're bomb! The waitresses are always really friendly.

1St time here had a good experience I tried the grilled steak fajita burrito it was excellent. The drinks we had were nice and strong too ;)

We come here often for the lunch buffet. It is always hot and well stocked. The staff is always friendly and very patient with our kids. The taco specials are great, too.

This place has various drink and food specials throughout the week. The staff and the owner, Juan are very accommodating and friendly to their patrons. You get a good vibe just entering this establishment.

They have lunch buffets which I think is a great bargain. Overall, a great place to get drinks and some food after work with coworkers.

Pepe's - 4 Stars: the Hickory Hills store is much like the Tinley Park store...both one of a number in this national chain, but this one is special. The Hickory Hills outfit has been a part of a larger ownership group for years now...and the nephew that runs the place is usually on site and eventually knows everybody by sight ... and when he's not there his trusted backups are.

Good basic Mexican food, great margaritas, wonderful chips and salsa (in fact the salsa here is better and fresher than the Tinley Park offering). The staff is especially friendly - you'll come and go just

Please ban the threatening man seen in this video from ALL your restaurants. Ironic that someone so racist and hateful is eating at a Mexican restaurant. Just a matter of time before he assaults your Mexican staff and other patrons of color.

I just read the piece on the girls that were verbally assaulted in this restaurant. As a native of Illinois (Peoria), I am disgusted. Not just by the the alleged adult that believes this is still 1932 and we can behave like a monster in public and attack young ladies, who are minors, by the way. But I am also appalled that the restaurant released a statement that their employees "were not amiss" . How dare they! Any time you see anyone being attacked, verbally or otherwise and you do nothing, then you are just as guilty as the attacker! Shame on everyone that sat back idle and watched

Delicious margaritas, they are half off on Thursday. The food is just ok, nothing special. The customer service not as good.
Only reason to come back here is for a cheap good margarita.
