The family owned business started in 1962 when Marvin and Thelma Hartje opened their first business selling Massy-Ferguson tractors and farm equipment in the town of La Valle, WI. By 1969 they expanded their operations and became Hartje Implement. With significant growth during the 1980's Hartje Implement became known as the Hartje Farm and Tire Center.

Sad day when in a village of under 400 people the only service fuel stop convenience store service station has to prepay or pay at the pump because they don't have security against drive-offs. Why make all of the law abiding citizens responsible/accountable for what a few lowlife individuals do.
Get cameras and man your pumps. I'm sure mine isn't the first $100 sale lost nor the last.

They went above and beyond. The lady ordered all 4 tires. I only had money for 2, but would be back in the next week to get the others. And I have zip ties on to keep the wheel covers in place. They like to come of. I had red, they replaced all the zip ties. Even though I only got 2 tires done. It's not a big deal but I noticed it and appreciate it. I always get my tires here and I live in richland center, so I drive to them.

I was on the way back from Madison and the tire pressure light popped on,so I pulled up the pressure screen on the truck and saw the pressure had dropped to 25 from 35 psi. I made it to Sauk and got some air in it and saw the piece of metal in it. The psi was holding at 35 so I continued on my way thinking if I could make it to Hartje's I would stop and have them look at it. I made it to Hartje's at 4:52 pm on a Friday and told them what was going on. No problem I was told, and they stayed late and fixed it with smiles and no cost. Thank you to all of you at Hartje's.
