Rumors Hair Salon

I called and made an appointment and was fairly easy to get in. I saw a hairstylist named Juliann. She was fantastic ,timely and professional. She took the time to ask me what I wanted to do and other questions about my hair. After about a 10 minute consultation she then proceeded to cut and color my hair. I was so impressed with her and the salon in general that I brought my daughter back a week later to get her back to school cut and highlight. She did the same with my daughter . She did not rush and first appointment was longer than usual but from my previous hairdresser half the time. My daughter

I love Rumors. It's my home away from home. Sue is absolutely terrific. I would recommend her yo anyone. She listens and executes perfectly. 3 generations of our family have Sue as our stylist and we all love her and her results!

Feel like family, we are family!!!!! Diana has been doing my hair for over 10 years, Barbara does a great job on my daughters nails! Love to go there!!!

Excellent service, clean, and inviting. I was able to get my hair done by Diana, a massage from Angie, and my nails done by Jeannine. Everyone was extremely kind, listened to my needs, and made recommendations for future work (I look forward to microdermabrasion and a purple hair color treament) all while being super friendly and professional! It was a truly amazing and relaxing experience, and I look forward to my next visit.

Alison is wonderful!! She's been doing my hair over 20 years!! They all treat you like family!! Highly recommend this place! Everyone there knows there stuff and always the same stylist never a revolving door!!

So much more than a “Salon”... the people there make you feel like family! I leave looking (AND feeling) better than when I arrived. Never disappointed in any service there... nails/ pedis, facials, massages and hair— all have been perfect!

No stars would deem appropriate. I completely agree with the negative reviews on this page. The women who cut hair in this salon are backstabbing miserable women with no integrity.
If you want your hair completely ruined then by all means go here.
Whatever you ask for you will not get. And on purpose! I guarantee it!!

I've been going to Rumors ever since I moved to Melbourne in 2004. I would not go anywhere else. Every hair dresser is experienced and all the -products used are top-of-the-line. There is no slack in this salon. It is also one of the few "experienced" full service salons in the area. there is little turn over and a very loyal clientele. Barbara is the owner and she has extremely high standards. All the hair dressers in the salon keep up with the latest styles, methods of cutting and products. Products are never forced upon you but are there upon request. Highly recommend Rumors.

I have been going to this salon for 2 years. I see Diana and get a cut and color every 5-6 weeks.

The salon is medium sized and not at all intimidating. The ambiance is charming. The have a Christmas tree up all year long and decorate it according to seasons and upcoming holidays. They have coffee and tea to offer free of charge . They sell products for hair and nails. I have never felt pressured to buy. The salon is busy with the arrival of the snow birds. Last year I had problems getting an appointment in December. This year I booked early.

I was actually looking online for their website and decided I would pause and write a review. I have been getting my hair cut here for quite a few years and love love love the place. The atmosphere is so welcoming-it is a really chic designed shop but I feel as though I am walking into a friend's home. The cuts I get here are fantastic-although I have a dedicated person, friends go to other stylists and all of them are really really good. You are greeted like an old friend upon entering and everyone stops to chat as you sit in the chair. It really feels genuine. They also have massage

Every time I walk in here it's like I'm walking into a coffeehouse with all my best friends hanging out. They are so friendly and extremely flexible. I go in here for getting my hair cut and dyed, as well as waxing and facials. And every single service has been impeccable here. They do a good job every time and if you don't think so, just tell them and they will fix it! I've never had that experience, but the girls always tell me that "if you don't like it, tell us so we can fix it!"
