Born and raised in Oconee County, John Powell started in real estate 47 years ago when he got a job as a boat driver for the fledgeling Keowee Key development. Through a series of events, John eventually became a salesman in that development. Cliff graduated Walhalla High School in 2010 and attended Clemson University graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2014 with degrees in History and Russian.

As a first time home buyer, I had no idea what I was doing. Cliff Powell made this process so much easier. Cliff went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Our aging father had done business with this firm for years and when he became too old to live alone, he put him home for sale and let him set the price. He had pretty much full control over the sale of the home. The only problem was that house sat unsold for years. In those years, he never got any calls as to what people were saying, how things were going or what we needed to do to move the house. NOTHING. Sadly, we discovered it was overpriced. Several years ago, I was part owner of a property of my father-in-law. John Powell knew my father in law very well, and had done business with him several times over the many years that he lived in the area. When he became too old to live alone, we decided to put the property up for sale. Of course he went to John, and he told him he could price the property as he saw fit.
