Welbourne Nursery and Preschool was established in 1927 in order to provide affordable, quality childcare for working families living in Hannibal Square (Winter Park Westside). For many years, we have continued to serve families and prepare their children for future academic success. While providing this invaluable service, we have enabled families to remain working and self-sufficient.
Infants: Our youngest children begin to understand the world through their senses. We help develop these skills including sensorimotor, psychomotor, language development, cognitive development, motor skills, and social and emotional development. We enjoy reading and singing songs to infants as well as having objects to see and touch.

This is a child care jewel in Winter Park. Our grandson attends and he is learning and growing in this family oriented environment. This is not a child care babysitting place…it provides a learning environment for each class with well trained teachers. His teachers are attentive and caring.

My kids have been attending Welbourne for a long time and I am happy to fine a school that I can leave them there and feel that they are SAFE after I have left knowing they are going to have fun while learning. My kids wake up every morning ready to go to school and that includes Saturday and Sunday. Welbourne also offer affordablity and having learning while having fun.

So much to say but it all comes down to the five stars! As first time parents we naturally had reservations to childcare especially during the pandemic. The director Ms Latonya is all we could ask for and more and her staff is just as great at hearing and answering any questions we may have and most importantly taking care of our child the same way they would care for their own. I can’t thank them enough for all they do for our family. ALL These teachers and staff here deserve all the praise and more.

Two of my children have attended Welbourne Nursery and Preschool, and they are honestly the best daycare that any of my kids have been to. My son is now currently in kindergarten, but my youngest daughter still goes there. They now send out updates about your child throughout the day so you know how much they eat, activities they are doing, and how your child is behaving. All of the staff is very sweet and like family for my little girl. Also, during these difficult times with covid, they have made such great efforts to keep everybody safe and healthy. As a mom of three I definitely recommend Welbourne

Our children have been attending Welbourne since they were in the infant classroom, for over 3 years! Welbourne has always been a warm and welcoming place for our children to grow and learn. The teachers and staff are dedicated and genuinely care for all the children. Many of them have been working at the school for several years which speaks volumes about the environment. Recently the school has made several updates and modifications for COVID-19 safety and technological upgrades like ProCare app system that gives parents up to date info and even pictures of their child's school day. Welbourne Avenue Nursery is beyond amazing! I have 2 babies at the school (7 months and 2 years) and they love the teachers, the staff, the atmosphere. The smile that lights up my babies' faces when they see their teachers makes my heart so happy. The staff is GREAT at communication and Ms LaTonya (the director) is extremely professional and has obvious love and care for her staff and all the children. I highly recommend Welbourne Ave nursery to anyone.

I am a former educator and spent a lot of time in various schools in the past and in my opinion, Welbourne has to be one of the best schools I have witnessed. I am currently in nursing school and my husband works all day long, so we prayed and prayed for the right school to send our twins and we were led to Welbourne. Welbourne is a wonderful facility and we would recommend it to families. We have been with Welbourne since 2011 when my son was 6 months old. Everyone was and is so welcoming and loving. Our daughter then started going to Welbourne in 2015 at a few months old and we were still feeling the positive atmosphere. The Welbourne staff has become like a family to us over the past 9 years and I cannot believe it will be our final year as our daughter finishes up VPK.
