Pacifica Montessori is an independent school in Culver City, CA, serving children from 2 to 6 years of age. We believe in the natural curiosity, drive, and potential of every child. Beginning in Preschool and progressing through Kindergarten, our students actively discover and master academic work in an environment that equally emphasizes their social development and ability to collaborate. Services
Pacifica Montessori School, established in 1982, provides a happy, peaceful learning environment for preschool and kindergarten students living in Culver City and West Los Angeles, including Playa Vista a.k.a. Silicon Beach. After receiving the incomparable Montessori foundation of learning for life, our students go on to excel at private, public, and charter schools across West Los Angeles.
The recommended minimum age for enrollment at Pacifica is 3 years old, although a limited number of children aged 2 are enrolled if they meet the readiness requirements. The first step for admission is to schedule a parent tour. The tours are usually one-on-one with the director rather than a parent, to ensure that your questions can be fully answered.
Walk into one of our primary classrooms, which include preschool and kindergarten children together, and you will see a myriad of activities in progress: Plants being watered, wooden boxes being polished, numbers being counted, stories being told. You'll see painting, drawing, and research in progress.
Pacifica Montessori School implements the Montessori method in full, and all of its teachers are accredited by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and/or the American Montessori Society (AMS). There are many schools that integrate elements of the Montessori method and will use the name Montessori, but the education they offer is not comparable.

Pacifica is an outstanding school. Our 6 yo daughter has been going there for the past three years, she loves it and so do we!
- Teachers are highly qualified educators, and wonderful human beings!
- Very safe and nurturing environment with a home/family feel.
We are very happy that we decided to keep her in this school for elementary class as well, and we cannot wait to enroll our second daughter as soon as she is ready!

Pacifica Montessori is a gem of a school. It is a true AMS (American Montessori Society) accredited School with highly qualified educators. Both our children are thriving at Pacifica. Can't say enough about how grateful I am to have found such a perfect school for my children. If you want to help your kids become independent, critical thinkers, look no further. My children absolutely love Pacifica and they are excited to go there everyday. What more can you ask for?
