The Community Health Access Coalition (CHAC) is a non-profit, volunteer organization coordinating access to healthcare for uninsured residents of Chippewa, Luce, and Mackinac Counties in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan (EUP). CHAC Eligibility Requirements are clear and the Enrollment process is simple.
We have specially trained Enrollment Volunteers to help you every step of the way. Contact your local CHAC office and we will help you determine if you are eligible for CHAC healthcare services. If you are eligible, we will schedule an appointment for you to come to the office to enroll. CHAC was established in response to the 3700 uninsured residents in the EUP.

You may be eligible for CHAC healthcare services. If you have questions about your eligibility, please do not hesitate to call one of our offices to speak with a staff member or volunteer. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Initial Call: The CHAC enrollment process is simple. We have specialized Enrollment Coordinators to take you through the process step-by-step.
Volunteers are the backbone of the CHAC program. Without volunteers to donate their time and services, we wouldn't be able to make a difference in our community. CHAC has many different volunteer positions and we are sure to have one that is just right for you. Clinic Receptionists assist the Pharmacy/Clinic Coordinator at our Volunteer Clinic.
As friends, families, and neighbors of individuals who are without healthcare assistance, thank you for considering making a donation to the Chippewa Health Access Coalition (CHAC). We are a tax deductible, non-profit organization. The CHAC Program which includes operational expenses, patients pharmaceuticals and direct service supplies.
CHAC is not an insurance program. CHAC is an access coalition, so basically CHAC works with local hospitals, physicians and other agencies to coordinate donated healthcare services for those who are eligible for the CHAC program. There is no cost to join the Community Health Access Coalition. All donated healthcare services are free to the clients.
