MSHS has some key events each year that raise money, educate, or bring attention to a community need. IGNACE and MIDLAND, Mich. - Mackinac Straits Health System (MSHS) and MidMichigan Health jointly announced a formal affiliation between the two organizations that will address technology (IT) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) needs.
MSHS is a non-profit organization that accepts tax deductible donations. As a non-profit we focus on quality of care and professional excellence first. We try to keep our costs down to help keep care costs down and are regularly working with the community to help raise funds to improve facilities, buy cutting edge equipment, and help those who cannot afford care with options.

WORST AIRBNB I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! Even though I came in to have an MRI done. Staff was excellent. Techs were super patient and professional during the routine procedure. Had to travel from Petoskey to get MRI done. The nap I tried to take during it didn’t happen due to the machine being loud as expected. Highly recommend this hospital.

Struggling with retinal issues and had flashing lights in my eye. I was told to seek ER care for this. I was told they couldn't help me because they don't have the proper equipment. At least they didn't charge me... I'm feeling sorry for anyone with a retinal issue in the area though. They were very nice about it but it is an emergency. You could lose vision in your eye permanently.

I sat and waited in the walk-in clinic for almost 2 hours and finally gave up. After watching a couple of patients go ahead of me, I asked if there was anyway to get an idea of how much longer it would take. I received a snippy "as long as it takes" in response. I work in emergency services, I understand the need for patience, and I was trying to be careful of my own tone, but after waiting as long as i had, I decided to try .

The people here are great. The doctors and nurse practitioners are nice and helpful and listen!
However, this place just doesn't work very well logistically.
Need an answer to something?
- Call and leave a message... and get no response.
- Use the portal to message your provider... and get no response
- Email billing and... get no response
- Ask for a referral and ... get a response! In about 2 months
- Get your medical chart transferred from your previous doctors in about 6 months (granted, this can easily be held up by the
