Services
Rishi Popat, DMD, DMSc. is a North Central Phoenix native and Ivy-League trained orthodontist. He received his specialty Certificate in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at Harvard University and concurrently received his second Doctoral degree in Oral Biology from Harvard Medical School located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Bansi is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Miami University (Ohio). She worked at Target headquarters for 5 years in supply chain logistics. She moved to Boston where she attended Harvard Business School and received her Master of Business Administration. During her time at Harvard Business School, Bansi worked at a specialty retail start-up where she developed a passion for small business and all things local.
We are open early mornings, evenings and weekends making your orthodontic treatment as convenient as possible. We know how busy you are and value your time. Our time is not more important than yours and we will work our hardest to accommodate your schedule. We are proud to offer interest-free payment plans.
The staff is SO nice, helpful, and incredibly accommodating! I lost my retainer (got my braces in a different state), and Popat was able to get me an appointment to take molds immediately and I got my retainer the same day! Very friendly and personable. I was looking for something different, not a typical brick and mortar or "cattle shop".

Five stars does not do this office justice! I needed a new retainer and was completely blown away by how organized, kind, and professional Dr. Popat and all the staff are. And thanks to their in-house lab, the turnaround time was incredible! I would return here in a heartbeat for any future orthodontic needs!

Dr Popat and staff are amazing. Why? Dr Popat takes the time to get to you know on a personal level in addition to understanding your concerns and goes above and beyond to make your smile perfect! I am very particular about my teeth and I have always felt comfortable with the care I received during my treatment. The entire staff is supportive and accommodating in all aspects! I rarely leave reviews but could not sit quiet here. Dr Popat and staff exceeded all expectations. I had braces as a kid and wish my experience was as good as how Dr Popat treats me and my daughter. From entering the door its respect , professionalism, and most of all care. He takes the time to tell us what he is going to do, does it , then explains what he did as well as the next steps. We just completed phase 2 and the results are exactly what he said he could do and what we expected. Perfect! We would proudly recommend Dr Popat to friends, have several times, and will continue to. Came here because of the great reviews. What they don't tell you is that they lightly beg every client to leave specifically a 5 Star review via fliers, free t-shirts, etc. Kudos to great self advertisement. VERY nice people, both the Dr and his wife, I just do not recommend him as an orthodontist. Dr. Popat recommended a treatment plan via the use of a retainer to correct a problem tooth, which in hindsight, was better than the now 3 crooked teeth I have incurred due to Popats malpractice. It's been about 6 months since I've had my braces taken off. As much as I truly enjoyed having Dr. Popat as my orthodontist, I am not completely satisfied with my smile. When I asked to take them off, he had a little hesitation and seemed like he might've wanted me to keep them on longer but sure, I insisted to get them off with the approval of Popat. Now, I know I wasn't use to my smile, therefore, I waited to see if I would come to terms with my new smile or if I was just unsatisfied with it. I absolutely love this family owned business. We have seen Dr. Popat for both orthodontics and dentistry. He is extremely knowledgeable and has taken great care of my family. I recommend Popat Orthodontics they were amazing with my teeth. I give them 5 stars . I knew from the moment I met Rishi that he would do an amazing job on my smile. The staff and his wife were amazing as well. Very friendly and always on top of everything. I never had a bad experience with them. Even though it has only been one whole year that I had my braces on they still gave me the best experience one could ask for. I totally recommend this place they made my experience and smile amazing. I went to see Dr. Popat to update an old retainer that was not fitting properly and had seen better days. The moment I walked in Dr Popat greeted me and was very friendly. I didn't have much time as I was trying to squeeze the appt in on my lunch break. I got right in and out in less than 20 minutes as promised when I scheduled the appointment. The cost of the appointment was reasonable and he met all my expectations. I highly recommend this orthodontist and will visit him again.

I have heard horror stories about orthodontic care, so when we had to begin the search for my daughter, I was prepared for the worst. My daughter has dental anxiety on top of it, so it compounds the issue.
Finding Dr. Popat was the best thing ever! Nevermind the fact that he is VERY close, he is HIGHLY trained. HARVARD trained! C'mon moms....what more could we want?!? Oh well let me tell you what you get with Dr. Popat....

There are not enough stars for this rating! Five stars, +++++! Popat Orthodontics was the third orthodontist office I evaluated before starting treatment. At my first visit, a consultation about possible treatment plans, Dr. Popat gave honest pros and cons for a number of different scenarios. Some of those options were with other providers, or involved more simple dentistry, not braces. I appreciated that Dr. Popat shareed all options with me, and didn't push business, as the other orthodontic offices had. He wanted what was best for ME.

Just wanted to mention that Dr. Popat put my nephews braces on himself and will be doing all of the care along this process. He's Harvard trained and right in our little central Phoenix corridor. How lucky are we to have him.
