Amato's Auto Body

I have now taken two of my vehicles into Amato's for body work after being hit by other drivers. Though Amato's may have a slightly longer turn around time than some of the other body shops in the area, their service, staff, and most importantly quality of work is well worth the wait. Both my Audi and Tesla have come back to me in perfect condition. I don't think Tesla's own body shop would have done as good of a job. They also send email updates frequently so you're never left wondering if they forgot about you! I'll be using Amato's as long as they're around

Amato's did a great job on my Tesla Model 3. Worked with my insurance so I didn't need to do anything except pay my deductible when I picked up the car. Jessica kept me informed on the job status every step of the way. Great experience and highly recommend Amato's.

Probably the most efficient auto repair company that I have worked with. Truly professional and very easy to work with regarding estimates, car rentals and status updates. Highly recommend them.

My car was extensively damaged in an accident in the front end. They did a fantastic job with the repair and service was outstanding as well.

I do not recommend going to Amatos. They did eventually fix my car but took 3x the amount of time they origionally quoted me and also threw any belongings from the car into a dirty tub and did not give them back until I eventually yelled at them and said they must have them somewhere. They also brought my car from Amatos to Tesla, then let it sit for a few days, then took it back to Amatos and then brought it right back to Tesla and blamed the delays on Tesla. Very frustrating experience overall.

My Tesla was rear ended and Amato's was on the very short list of places my Tesla insurance recommended and I'm VERY happy I went with them. Consistent communication about the status of my car and they were very flexible about when I could pick the car up as I was traveling over the holidays. Hopefully I don't need them again, but should something happen I would absolutely take it to Amato's again!! Thanks Renee!

Amatos is the best place ever!!! From start to finish I had the best service!!! Renee was my coordinator and she kept me updated on the process and the timeline and when my car would be ready for pick up. I highly recommend taking your car for any auto body repair needs!

Paul and his team are consistently the best. Everyone in the office is great. I've been working with them for many years. They deliver the highest quality work in San Diego and the best customer service. This will always be the body shop I go to and recommend to others!

I guess I'll never know how this place measures up to the hype. Brought my 2021 Porsche in for an estimate and the appraiser seemed friendly and professional. Days go by and no follow up. I called every few days to find out how the claim was progressing but could never get a strait answer. By the third week I called again and was told they could start work in in four weeks. I'm guessing they may be good technically, but they have a long way to go with their customer service. Good luck with that.

Jaguar recommended Amato’s and it was the best thing they could have done. I also, researched and Renee (the rep at Amato’s) had great reviews. Just so happen she was my rep too. They did a fantastic job on my wife's Range Rover, looks like new. Will continue to bring my cars to Amato's.

I had a hit and run accident, therefore needed to complete my repairs on my own. Insurance covered all repairs but no rental was covered. Amato's went above and beyond helping me by giving a loaner, I feel that all team took my case not just technical but very personal. Brian and Renee were the best and easiest people to work with. Also, they kept me posted every step of the way untill my car was complete.
Took a lot of stress off from my shoulder.

For an expensive car, I was concerned to learn you couldn't go through a Tesla run repair company. After some research I chose Amato's.

The experience from start to finish was excellent. I had been rear ended in my model S p100d, they returned my car like new.

Would certainly use them again.

I brought my car here for an estimate. Due to insurance reasons, they never did any repairs, but Renee in the front office was super helpful and responsive. They seemed to have a good process and program in place, and I wouldn't hesitate bringing my Tesla back again in the future.

I wish I could give them 0 stars for poor customer service and gouging, so take this as a begrudging 1 star. My wife and I brought our Tesla Model 3 for an estimate because we had scratched the side of the car in the back. Fixing this would require changing a whole panel. We talked to someone at Amato's and told them our insurer was Liberty Mutual. They said that was OK and that the estimate was $13,000. We started the process with the insurance, which took a couple of weeks, and then called Amato's to make an appointment to drop the car off. That's when they told us they didn't work with Liberty

I'll start by saying I'm VERY picky. I work in the auto industry and also consider myself to be a perfectionist. When my car was hit I called around premium San Diego area dealerships and found Amato's was clearly considered the best, which led me to doing business with them.
Every step of the transaction was fantastic; they are a well-oiled machine, a really impressive operation. Communication was friendly, informative, frequent and precise, repair time was reasonable, price was reasonable, and the interaction was a complete pleasure.

Amato's Auto Body is absolutely amazing. We took our Tesla Model 3 in because someone hit my rear bumper while my car was parked and a few days later, we hit a kayak on the highway and caused some serious damage to the front bumper and side skirt/rocker panel. We had two different claims open at the same time that were going to be fixed all at once. I though it would've been confusing to deal with two different claims at the same time but Renee and Michael made everything easy! Not only did they help with our insurance claims but they were great at communicating about the process and what work

I cannot recommend Amato's auto body more. The staff were all incredibly helpful, upfront, and professional throughout the entire process of getting my Tesla fixed. I worked primarily with Renee, and I was consistently impressed with the frequent updates and forward leaning attitude she had. The rest of the staff also maintained the same high level of professionalism. I have never had as good an auto repair experience!
