Encinitas Physical Therapy offers specialized treatment that can resolve your condition efficiently and effectively. We are manual therapy specialists; we use hands-on techniques that relieve pain, free up adhesions, and restore normal joint and soft tissue mobility. We use specialized evaluations to uncover what is often a biomechanical problem causing your symptoms.

Your entire time in treatment is spent with your physical therapist, working with your specific condition. Our specialized skills, such as Soft Tissue Mobilization, Osteopathic Techniques, Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation, often resolve problems other approaches don't. Our practice was established in 1984.

Encinitas Physical Therapy founder Neil Sturman completed PT school at the University of Southern California in 1976, is a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a certified Clear Passage therapist. A San Diego native, he has been the owner and director of Encinitas Physical Therapy since 1984.
The key to effective treatment is a good evaluation. Because our variety of training, we look at problems from different perspectives, and often find aspects that have been previously undetected. We evaluate thoroughly and find what other practitioners may have missed. Often we find "knots" or trigger points in muscles that are causing pain.
Thank you for your very professional and friendly help in resolving my recent cervical radiculopathy. My doctor was quite right to believe that with your help and a conservative approach things would likely clear. They have quite nicely. I am now back doing all my customary activities without pain or weakness.
What is manual Therapy? Manual Therapy is a specialized approach within Physical Therapy that analyzes the biomechanics of structures in the body, and aims to restore normal functioning and relieve pain. We use our hands to feel how far a joint surface can glide on the adjacent surface (passive accessory movement) and then restore the normal movement.
Our fees are: $160 for a 60 minute session, $120 for a 45 minute session, and $80 for a 30 minute session. We accept payment using cash, checks or charge cards. We are providers for Medicare, UnitedHealthcare, Health Net, some Blue Shield plans, and TriWest. We are out-of-network providers for most other insurance plans.
