Along with Dr. Martin Fuhrer, Dr. Jon Ellis is one of the founders of Veterinary Associates. He graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1966. He has been practicing in Greene County his entire career, serving the pet, food animal, and equine population. Our multiple-doctor practice provides care for small animal pets, as well as horses and farm animals. We offer high quality medicine, with emphasis on preventative care as well as treatment for illness and injury. Our convenient office hours are coupled with a veterinarian on call 24 hours a day for emergencies.
Need help furthering your knowledge of pet health nutrition? Royal Canin USA provides research, answers to commonly asked nutrition questions, informative videos and even an interactive pet section that allows you to gain deep understanding of how nutrition can help with all aspects of pet health. Veterinary Associates Animal Hospital: We offer hospital boarding for animals that need more care.
There are many options for those who do not wish to pursue traditional medicine alone. We offer Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy and Acupuncture, and we also use laser therapy to complement both modalities. Acupuncture can help with many types of pain, osteoarthritis, vomiting, cancer pain, endocrine disorders, and much more.
Veterinary Associates Animal Hospital understands that your animal's illness and/or injury does not always happen during office hours. That is why one of our doctors is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If you have an urgent problem with one of your animals, call 937-372-9978.

This was our first visit with our dogs. The veterinarian and staff took very good care of our dogs. They explained everything in great detail and advised us of options for various treatments. No pressure to obtain vaccinations or other services. Overall a very pleasant experience. Our sincere thanks to Veterinary Associates.

To say I have loved every experience I have had over the past 1+ years would be an understatement! Every vet I have seen at the practice has been wonderful! Dr Clark took excellent care of my 10yr old chihuahua for his dental! Went over everything they were doing and was extremely thorough! I felt very comfortable trusting her with his care and she would being doing what he NEEDED! Today's visit with Dr Brett was for my cat who had been sick the past week. He was able to see him within the week! Which was great I know how hard this can be with how crazy everywhere is booked up! I have never seen

I've been trying to get my child-dog in to see a vet for months, with no success! Doctor said they were booked until October, so was the other vet down 68! I mentioned this to another pet parent and they said their wife takes their pet here!! I decided to call them! What a huge disappointment, they are only accepting current clients so my dog can just suffer, wither up and die!!! And people wonder why people are losing it everywhere!!!

Dr. Clark is amazing and takes great care of our Shepherd Mena. She is very attentive and wants nothing more than to help her get well. Thank you Dr. Clark and team for always giving our pets the time and attention they deserve.

I came over to VA after my vet for over 20 years passed away suddenly a couple years ago, I was shocked at the prices for vet services all around. I was used to $15 office visits and $60 home visits— and opted for the home visits more then not because we have 4 large breed dogs and it made it more convenient. Having spent the past few years now with VA, I am very pleased by the care and service I’ve received and would recommend them to others. I also appreciate their candor and willingness to have patience with me as I overcome the hesitation to deal with a new vet and the differences

WHAT?!?! A veterinary office that is not controlled by the pharmaceutical companies and every single employee is as amazing as the next!
I didn't know what to expect as my experience with that has been mixed. I am definitely an informed consumer and care enough about my dog to not take someone's word for it!
This experience was nothing but pleasant, no, that doesn't quite describe it! I, we, felt heard, seen, and absolutely 110% appreciated!
I popped in to use the restroom and there were two vet techs and the vet all loving on Gracie, my dog. She was so happy I barely got a glance.

The team at Veterinary Associates' Xenia office has been magnificent with all our animals for nearly 20 years now! They are an experienced, knowledgeable, caring and personable group. We've gone through surgeries, acupuncture, serious illness and, thankfully, also regular well care with them with amazing results. I'd never take my furry friends anywhere else!
