KATHLEEN SAVED THE DAY!!! Purchased a new Movado for a friend's Christmas gift and needed to get it sized. Brought it to Jared's (because they sell Movados) and the man totally destroyed the pin! Then gave it back and said I need to go to Movado..."good luck"! Seriously...DON'T GO TO JAREDS!!! I was so motivated to get this fixed and sized correctly so my friend could enjoy the gift! Katie was such a big help. My friend got an amazing watch and she helped me with a birthday gift for my wife that she absolutely loved. Will be returning Schwarzschild to get another watch for myself and can’t wait to work with Katie again. She knows her stuff and is really funny.

I have wanted a deep blue sapphire princess cut engagement ring for years. I lost my diamond in 2016. This was my way to replace it with something that my husband and I could share the experience together again.
Constance, at Schwartzchild Jewelers, went out of her way to find a stone that met the idea I had ( deep blue sapphires are hard to find in princess cut ) the 1st 2 stones were a little lite in color, very pretty but,, not what I had in mind.. Then she found the perfect stone!! She contacted me just as excited as I was to see my reaction. Hearts in my eyes all the way when I saw it!

While being home in Richmond I needed to get my watch fixed and I easily was able to get it fixed here! I gave my watch to Natalina, a beautiful associate of the store, and she was able to fix my watch in no time. I waited about 5 minutes in the store before she gave me my watch back. This was a great first experience in the store and the associates are very welcoming.

At one time this was the best local jewelry store..not so much anymore. I don't think it's owned by locals. Not very happy with the repair on a simple gold item.. the salespeople are very friendly..

Dealing with Sam Spaulding at this store has been such a pleasure. He is helpful, knowledgeable, not pushy, and customer centric. He has helped me with watches and jewelry. When there was an issue with a watch warranty work- he jumped on it and fixed it right away. Old fashioned service that I love. Go see him.

I recently went to this location of Schwarzschild's for the same errand I had started with a competitor of their's right across the street.

I needed a repair done on an existing mounting. Roxanne took the piece back to the jeweler for an estimate (no two week wait for an estimate). The job was beautifully executed and my piece was treated like a treasure which is a big deal when it's your jewelry. In an era where you can buy certified high end pieces on the likes of Gem Shopping Network; service is everything.

When my fiance and I started shopping for wedding bands, my mom gifted me my grandma's diamond engagement ring, and I decided to make a custom wedding band using her stone. We went to Zales first, but the saleswoman seemed dubious about whether they could provide the ring I envisioned, and frankly pretty apathetic about the process. The most abysmal service I have ever received while having watches serviced.
I dropped off two vintage watches, a Breitling from the mid 30's and an Omega chronograph from the early 70's, both keeping time and in good running condition, at your Short Pump Richmond location May 27, 2016 and after being as patient as I can for the last FOURTEEN MONTHS I just get them shipped back to me in Florida, where I have moved since leaving them with your store.

So I have only been here to get various watches resized so my review can only be but so extensive here unfortunately.

Each and every time I come here the staff is extremely friendly and courteous. When I saw their star rating on here I was actually surprised it was so low.

4 out of the 5 times I've had a watch resized I have paid $10, just once... So I don't know if its them being nice or they stopped charging for this service. Either way I am happy and recommend them to anyone.

Horrible experience with this company I have purchased from for years. Will not shop there again. Husband purchased diamond bracelet for me two years ago from Swartzchilds. When the clasp failed recently and needed repair, we were told by salesperson, " Talbert" that it "cannot possibly be repaired" by them. What? I'm supposed to keep a broken diamond bracelet on the shelf? His rather aloof attitude did not help. We took it across the street to the local carytown jeweler who did a great job of repairing it. I wear it daily.

Another nail in the coffin of " old Richmond

Do not go here. I bought a ring for $11,000 for my fiancé here. They told me a could get I lifetime of free repairs as long as I brought it back. A week after our proposal, the ring fell out of its setting. I brought it back and they refused to fix it. Even after I showed my receipt they asked me to leave.

I brought it to another store and after I told them where I bought the diamond, they inspected it. (I guess this happens a lot) Turns out it was a cubic zirconia the whole time. They won't return my calls or let me back in their stores. I've had to hire an attorney.

I'm so disappointed with my experience at Schwarzschild Jewelers.

I recently brought two watches to the Carytown location to have the batteries changed. Dropping the watches off was easy and my request was processed efficient. There wasn't anyone in the store and a sales person came right over to offer assistance.

Picking the watches up was a whole other experience. There were a few customers in the store and I waited 3-4 minutes before somebody acknowledged me. When the sales person brought my watches out, she took it out of the bag quickly and it bounced (face down!) off the glass

I had an outstanding experience here. I bought a set of watches for my fiance and I that my parents gifted us. I worked with Anne Marie who took us very seriously when we just went in to look. She treated us as potential customers and gave us plenty of attention. Because of this, we had high expectations when we went to the other jeweler in town to look at the same watches. Our experience there was lacking and they treated us like we were not serious. because of this, we went back to Schwartzchild. It's interesting though because that other store is now closed. Anyways, our experience here

The service at this location is terrible; the women who work there are rude, pushy and pretentious. I would suggest going to the Short Pump location where they actually listen to you and treat you like a person.

We bought both my engagement and wedding rings from the Short Pump location, and though it's much closer for me to go to Carytown for service, I'd rather go to Short Pump for a cleaning or repair.

I have bought a few nice watches and numerous watch straps from Schwarzschild over the years. My previous experiences have been at the Short Pump location. They are always very helpful and nice. They never charge me for changing from watch strap to watch strap. Why? because they know I will be browsing around and perhaps buy something, which sometimes I do. It's the same reason they offer free oil changes when you buy a car, to get you into the showroom. Not the case here. They immediately demanded $10 to change my watch strap and then made no effort to sell me on any of their merchandise

I had a ring sized here. It was pricey ($180 for 2.5 sizes), but what I thought was reasonable for a jewelry store. They gave me an estimated time of a week (they stated they were busy). The ring was ready within the week and looks and feels great.

The store is what you'd expect from a nicer jewelry store--a pinch uncomfortable with expensive jewelry. Nice staff, though not overly friendly.
