K&W has designed more than 200 K12 projects for 50+ School Districts since 2005. We understand the unique safety and functional needs of school campuses. Our designers work closely with architects and District staff to carefully plan all the components of a successful school site. We bring extensive experience with Feasibility Studies, Campus Master Plans, and PDE procedures.
K&W collaborates with campus planners and architects to optimize available space and seamlessly integrate new construction with existing facilities while enhancing overall campus aesthetics. Our professionals bring in-depth knowledge of college-specific site design elements such as safe and accessible pedestrian design, landscape and hardscape elements, traffic circulation and parking, and athletic facility design.
The keys to successful projects are identified well before we ever put pen to paper. Prior to submitting our proposal, we visit your site, talk to regulatory agencies, and thoroughly research municipal ordinances that could impact your project. As a result, you get a comprehensive list of required services, expected deliverables, a description of potential challenges, and a detailed breakdown of engineering fees.
Historically, half of our work is for projects owned or built by public sector clients. We are extremely sensitive to our role in the stewardship of public assets and taxpayer resources. We work with all levels and types of governmental entities - municipal, authorities, boards, commissions, the Commonwealth of PA and US Federal agencies - to enhance public spaces.
