Services
Cosmetic dentistry consists of elective treatments and procedures that can enhance your smile. Unlike traditional dentistry in which dentists are diagnosing and treating dental disease, cosmetic dentistry is focused on aesthetically enhancing your smile. You can turn back the clock by having your teeth whitened, gaps closed, and missing teeth replaced.
Preventive services are where most of us come in contact with a dental professional. They include: radiographs, cancer screening, fluoride, sealants, and of course, the cleaning. Our radiographs are all digital and use about 30% of the radiation that a traditional film would require and we try to carefully apply the ALARA principle when deciding what and when to take images.
Restorative dentistry, according to Oral B, is the term dental professionals use to explain how they replace missing or damaged teeth. Fillings, crowns (caps), bridges and implants are common restorative options. The goal is to bring back your natural smile and prevent future oral health issues. Direct restorations are fillings placed immediately into a prepared cavity in a single visit.
I graduated from Howard University School of Dentistry in 2004 and we built Tucker Family Dentistry in 2007. I have been a member of several professional organizations, including Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Capital Area Dental Society. I also volunteer at several local and national organizations like Samaritan Health Ministries, Austin Disaster Relief Network and the Boy Scouts of America.

Very disappointed with them. I had gum issues resurface after thirty years. Hey - covid and dealing with my husbands death contributed. They refused to clean my teeth, but instead I needed to wait over two months to scale my teeth. A cleaning now would have been so helpful. They refused. I will not return. A waste of money today.

My husband has been going to this dentist for years, and I started going last year when we moved closer. I have seen both dentists, and both were personable and answered questions. I have seen two hygienists and both were thorough and provided education. This is a locally owned and family friendly dentist that I would highly recommend.

Love them! I felt very comfortable and informed of everything taking place! It was my kids' first dental appointment and they made my 3.5 year old son feel so important and excited about all of it! Excellent staff, friendly, clean, gorgeous office and Dr. Tucker was fabulous! His assistant was just as wonderful. We've found our "dental home" for sure.
