At Word Chiropractic, we provide a 'patient-guided' approach to therapy. What might be realistic for one patient may not be realistic for another patient. Some patients may only need one or two treatments to help manage their issues while others may need several treatments to help their pain. Our philosophy is not to 'over-treat' and we base our treatment protocols solely on the relief of the individual.

Word Chiropractic focuses on your bodies own natural ability to heal, by realigning the spinal column to reduce pain and pressure on the nerves that exit the spine and affect the entire body. In addition to back and joint pain, Chiropractic medicine can have a positive impact on the organs of the body.
The first step in your treatment will be a brief assessment, taken by the Chiropractor, that determines the cause of your pain and discomfort. Getting an accurate diagnosis is essential in making sure the condition is treated accurately as possible so that you get the most relief without a lot of 'trial and error'.
Muscle spasms can be a major cause of pain and discomfort. Our Licensed Massage Therapist is trained to perform a variety of techniques that address those muscular issues that commonly occur with joint issues. Put aside the assumption that Massage Therapy is simply an indulgence. It is truly a therapeutic procedure that affects your health and reduces your pain.
Official office hours are as follows, however our LMT may be available during times outside the hours listed below. We do accept walk-ins at Word Chiropractic whenever possible; however, we do stay booked most days and recommend you call or go online and schedule an appointment to ensure that we can get you in and to minimize your waiting time.

For about 9 months I had been dealing with painful plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I hated the thought of getting injections, but the pain was unbearable. I was considering seeing a specialist when a friend suggested I see a chiropractor. Dr. Word was recommended to me by my daughter so I made an appointment and was hopeful but skeptical. Dr. Word began a series of laser treatments on my foot. Each treatment only took a few minutes. After the first treatment, I could see immediate improvement even though there was still pain. I recently received treatment from Dr. Barwick (29APR2014) and the quality of service was outstanding. I told him what my issue was and he was quick and thorough with the treatment he provided. If there was a downside to his office it would have been his lack of a receptionist and an assistant. However, I did go during lunch time and they could have simply been out, either way he was able to perform all the task associated with both medical and administrative levels of care. The man was courteous and professional, and I would recommend him to anyone in need of a chiropractor.
