Ormsby Auto provides complete auto care, repair and maintenance services for foreign vehicles of all makes and models as well as domestic. Our experienced ASE Master Technicians are trained and certified to service European and Asian imports, such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Mini Cooper, VW, Fiat, Jaguar, Land/Range Rover in addition to Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru and Hyundai just to name a few.
The mechanical problem was quickly and properly diagnosed the first time, repairs billed as initially quoted, and work completed on schedule as promised. Fantastic. I have owned older cars which needed a lot of repairs. Very friendly and thorough at explaining the issues. Wil and his team always did great work at an honest price. (The MD MVA was surprised that my Volvo passed emissions inspection after failing it earlier.) Alas, I tried four other mechanics in Rockville/Bethesda before finding Orsmby, who is awesome.

I have taken two vehicles here over the past six years for inspections and maintenance, as well as for major issues. Everything is well-explained and thorough! They are flexible and creative in their problem-solving. Wil always takes extra time to discuss what has to be done immediately versus what can wait, and pricing is incredibly reasonable. I can't recommend them highly enough and won't go anywhere else as long as I live in the DMV!

Scheduled my state inspection with Ormsby Auto with ease and was able to change the time the day before. The reviews are legit here when it comes to state inspection. According to my husband, the owner, Frank was super helpful and straight to the point. The pricing for a state inspection beats a lot of places in the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend getting your state inspection here.

Initially, I thought they did great; but it didn't take me very long to find out they are NOT as honest as they seem to be. They changed my rear breaks along with several other repairs but did not replace the sensors so in about 2 or 3 months the break service lights come on. I take my car back to them and I am told that I would have to get new front breaks pads and rotors. They said they would not just replace the brake pads as I might go back to them for squicky or screeching noise later. Asking for around $400 for the job. Sometimes we forget to show appreciation for all the great experiences we have on a day-to-day basis. I have been a customer for about 10 years and Ormsby has seen me through my routine maintenance, new tires, new batteries, and every single experience has been a great one for me--even when I've learned that the cost of a repair would be more than what I had planned. I called several places before here looking for Maryland Safety inspection, and everyone else said I would have to drop my car off for the entire day. Ormsby Auto not only had me in and out in an hour with quality service, but also was honest with prices and adding wiper blades to my order since mine failed inspection. DO NOT get your car inspected here unless it is new, they will try to get you to pay for things that you do not need. I took my car to another shop today and they said they were trying to swindle me and being very aggressive. Dont be fooled by the smiles and charm, the low price of the inspection is a trap, pay more and get it done right the first time. I wish i had never gone there and saved myself some heart ache.

NOT RECOMMENDED. Here is my experience: I brought my car for inspection with almost 30K miles on it. They will ask you to add $35 if your windows are tinted, which I think that should not be charged. But I went ahead and pay them the extra money. Hour and a half later, I was notified that the inspection is failed due to the window tint. The rear glass was tinted 5 percent darker than the accepted 35 percent.

I am always worried about going to new auto shops just because you never know who could try to take advantage of your distress, but I have to say that the people here at this shop are just the nicest, straight forward and sweetest people ever! From the minute I walked in the shop, I felt very welcomed and felt really comfortable with leaving my car there. I mean given, I only got a state inspection but sadly I didn't pass and they were very honest as to why and even explained to me what needs to be done on the car and gave me a fair estimate.

Awesome experience! It originally did not go the way I planned-failed safety inspection. Will & Frank gave me a honest consultation and extended a more than generous offer in pricing for the extensive repairs.

My car was making a strange noise, they showed me it was a loose exhaust pipe which they fixed, they also took care of replacing the torn cable of the horn system. Replaced all with new parts and gave me a discount. I was on my way home in less than a hour.

First, let me say the folks at Ormsby are the friendliest, most honest people in the car repair business.
I have a 2006 Volvo with low mileage (under 85k miles in 10 years) I bought new from the dealer. I've since passed it on to my daughter in college. After years of service from the dealer, things suddenly became very expensive. I was quoted a couple thousand $ to replace my front bushings. These are just small rubber bumpers that protect the car frame from the wheel assembly. I declined and let it go for about 18 months. Eventually they failed along with the struts (apparently common

I worked with representative Will today. He was so helpful. Got me done and out of the shop for my repair order under 20 mins. I continue to use Ormsby Auto and they continue to treat me well and with honesty. My car has now turned over 100K miles and I've had to replace nothing major other than the brakes. Frank and Will (farewell to Robert, who parted ways in 2012) never try to upsell me or take advantage of my ignorance.
