Thank you for choosing Bivens Orthodontics, we always look forward to welcoming new patients! Your first consultation appointment is always complimentary and will last about an hour. You will be meeting with Dr. Bivens and one of our friendly treatment coordinators during this visit. We will be taking digital images and x-rays and Dr. Bivens will evaluate those records and discuss the best treatment options for you.
A. Teeth, and sometimes entire facial structures, are permanently changed by orthodontic treatment. It is important that the treatment be appropriate and properly completed. Orthodontic specialists have at least two more years of training compared to a general dentist. They have extensive and specialized training that enables them to provide their patients with professional, personalized treatments.
When a person's teeth or jaws do not fit together properly, orthodontic treatment may be necessary to correct the problem. If left untreated, these orthodontic problems, often referred to as malocclusions, can cause speech difficulty, premature wear of the teeth and protective enamel, and even increase the chance of injury to the teeth and jaw joints.
Now that your braces are on, it is very important to maintain a good oral hygiene regimen throughout the length of your treatment. Braces, wires, bands and retainers can all trap food particles and make it difficult to brush or floss away plaque. Careful brushing and flossing, preferably after every meal and snack, is the best way to prevent plaque build-up, tooth decay and gum disease.

Im really happy with my Invisalign experience. Bivens uses an application for your phone so you can upload photos of your progress weekly to keep you on track and ensure you get the results you’re looking for. When I was half way through my treatment he asked for feedback and was able to customize my treatment based on some minor changes I wanted to see. I would highly recommend using this office for Invisalign!

Bivens is a highly recommended and highly utilized orthodontist here in the Westchase area. My son is currently in Stage 1 of braces with Dr. Bivens. My opinion on the service is 4 stars. They’re always quick to get us in if there is an issue, but we have had so many issues. Broken brackets, broken wires all the time. My main complaint is that they are still trying to force masks on my children and myself. Masks are proven to not work and actually cause harm to the body and mouth biome. It should be everyone’s individual choice for themselves and their children. Unfortunately, we’ve already

Always an amazing experience! Doctor Bivens is kind and honest. Makes the process easy and manageable. The staff always smiling and a great atmosphere! My daughter came in with a lot of work to be done and even within a small period of time her confidence has grown a ton with the amazing and talented staff . Dr. Bivens and his staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. I like that they all take the time to explain everything to my daughter so that she feels included in the treatment process. Appointments are quick and easy. We never have to wait. They are flexible and make sure you can be seen quickly with emergencies or issues. I highly recommend!

Big High Five and Thank you to the Bivens Staff. Our Fur Baby had a brief encounter with our daughters retainer, eeks! We hold this small plastic item with very high regards...it is after all what will prolong the beautiful job Bivens did for her beautiful smile. The Bivens staff was able and willing to squeeze our daughter into a very full afternoon on short notice.
