Fredrick Schilling, D.D.S. started Skyway Dental Clinic in 1982 and was joined in 2017 by Maggie Craven Thompson, D.D.S. Skyway Dental Clinic is a comprehensive and caring dental home for families and working professionals in and around downtown Minneapolis. Services
We avoid the chemicals used in the traditional developing process, so it is better for our environment. We have proudly incorporated the use of intra-oral cameras in our office. These tiny cameras are placed inside our patients' mouths to take a close up picture of the teeth and gums. This picture can then be displayed on the flat screen monitors in our treatment rooms and discussed with our patients.
We offer a variety of cleanings and gum treatments to fit all of our patients' needs. Some patients just need a standard cleaning, where others may require more extensive deep cleanings. Our Dental Hygienists are trained and equipped to treat most patients right in our office and rarely need to refer to a specialist.
Tooth-colored restorations, also known as composites, are silver-free, mercury-free and BPA-free fillings placed to restore your tooth's natural appearance. Composite restorations are perfect for fixing small to medium sized cavities, chips, and broken teeth. They are more durable, less invasive, and less temperature sensitive than standard silver fillings.
Topical anesthetic is applied with a cotton swab on the gums to reduce the discomfort of an injection and to ensure that our patients are as comfortable as possible when receiving local anesthetic. Local anesthetic is the numbing agent injected into a specific area of the mouth to prevent discomfort during dental procedures.

I am highly disappointed in the quality of service and the professionalism of the staff at Skyway Dental. My husband decided to start going there and the experience has been ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE and I truly do think they need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau. This is so far the worst dentist I have seen in my entire life. I travelled and lived in 4 continents and I have never met a dentist with such poor customer service and lack of professionalism until I met Dr. Fred. His strategy focuses mainly on upselling you services that you don’t need or exaggerate minor/no issues to pressure you to go back and invest in their overpriced yet poor quality services. I was in excruciating pain and needed one of my bottom molar tooth pulled. I called over 6 dentist and none had same day openings, as I was scrolling continuing my search this dentist came up. I called immediately and spoke to a woman who could hear how much pain I was in, she handed the phone to Doctor Schilling's.
