We believe everyone should have access to quality professional counseling services. Starting in 1997, SCC formed a place to serve thousands of individuals and families of all economic backgrounds in the River Region.

As a faith-informed counseling center and nationally accredited by the Solihten Institute, we help those struggling with mental health issues, marriage and family conflicts, addictions, traumas or broken relationships. If you're hurting, and need someone to talk to, we want you to know that hope and healing are open to you.

What began in 1997 as part of a plan by First United Methodist Church of Montgomery to lead the church into the new millennium quickly grew to offer assistance to all in the River Region in need of quality professional counseling services.
The Samaritan Counseling Center (SCC) offers services from a faith-informed, family-friendly worldview while integrating the medical community and spiritual aspects of each client's life - whatever their faith tradition or lack thereof, respecting the dignity of individual differences.

As clinicians, we work with individuals, couples, families, groups, adults, children, adolescents, single-parent families and stepfamilies struggling with a variety of issues - and match the right mental health counselor to their specific needs.Learn more here. The Board of Directors of the Samaritan Counseling Center, Inc. represents a large cross-section of the community, religious and business leadership in the River Region. This is a request to schedule a future appointment with the Samaritan Counseling Center for NEW CLIENTS or CLIENTS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN IN THE PREVIOUS 6 MONTHS. This intake documentation will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and you will need a photo of your driver's license or ID card and insurance card.
