Community treatments work well for many of our patients. Affordable, effective, and easy to schedule, these sessions take full advantage of many of the strongest acupuncture points located on the head, ears, arms and legs. Cupping is a simple and effective therapeutic technique which can be used alone or in combination with acupuncture or massage therapy.
The purpose of cupping is to enhance circulation, to help relieve pain, and to pull out the toxins that linger in your body's tissues. Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalizing those tissues. The basic philosophy of massage therapy embraces the concept of vis medicatrix naturae, which means "aiding the ability of the body to heal itself."

Services
We believe strongly in acupuncture's place in healthcare and want it to be affordable for everyone. Acupuncture's potential as a viable healing modality cannot be fully realized if it's inaccessible to most people, so it became evident and so important that we create a space to provide acupuncture in a more affordable way here in Ohio.
Community treatments work well for many of our patients. In fact, some patients only visit us during our community shifts. Affordable, effective, and easy to schedule, these sessions take full advantage of many of the strongest acupuncture points located on the head, ears, arms and legs. It's easy to relax in our Community Clinic - warm, inviting, and friendly.
Private treatments give us a chance to slow down and work more closely with you. They allow more time for focused treatment, education, and collaboration. On the first visit you will sit with your practitioner privately to discuss your health history, your reasons for seeking acupuncture treatment, and your wellness goals.
Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalizing those tissues and consists of a group of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement to parts of the body. While massage therapy is applied primarily with the hands, sometimes the forearms or elbows are used.
Cupping (sometimes called 'myofascial decompression') is a simple and effective therapeutic technique which can be used alone or in combination with acupuncture or massage therapy. One way to think about cupping is that it is the opposite of massage. Rather than applying pressure to muscles, suction is created to pull the skin, connective tissues and muscles upward.

Was hoping to become a new patient, called to make an appointment. Verbally and respectfully stating knowing it was a long shot,
asked about same day appointments. I was rudely interrupted and was told no. Multiple times. Receptionist very disrespectful and I will never go somewhere with such poor customer service. Do not recommend.

Relaxing vibe, pleasant aroma when entering. Four star review because I think the acupuncturists should be wearing gloves for sanitary purposes. I had slight bleeding at the point of insertion - wondering if that happens with other clients? Definitely not something I want to think about, but clearly it is something to take note of.

Trust me you will not be disappointed! I've been coming to #UAC Clintonville for years. It literally got me back into the swing of things. After losing my brother and having heart surgery I was pretty down. It continues to be an amazing journey. I'm writing this review while sitting in the waiting area. Liquid Mind is playing on the loud speaker My 79 year old mother and 82 year old father are enjoying a session! This modality will always be a part of my quest towards improved health!
